Preview: Flyers vs. Capitals

Opening a home-and-home set that will resume in DC the next night, the Philadelphia Flyers (1-3-1) will host the Washington Capitals (3-1-0) on Tuesday at Wells Fargo Center. Take note of the unusual starting time: 6 p.m. EDT.

The Flyers will look to snap a four-game winless streak (0-3-1) since their opening night shootout victory in Vancouver. The Capitals will try to build on the three-game winning streak they've put together since an opening night loss to the New Jersey Devils.

For an in-depth preview, see Tuesday's edition of Five Things when it posts on the Flyers official website. The Flyers will not hold a morning skate on Tuesday.

With Scott Laughton not practicing on Monday (his wife Chloe was in labor with the family's first child), the Flyers featured some different line combinations. The actual starting lineup will be posted as a blog update during pregame warmups. Defenseman Nick Seeler, activated from IR, is expected to make his season debut on Tuesday.
