I'm starting to wonder if he wants to be in Colorado. I know it seems like a great situation to be in, but the way he's been playing his cards, I think he wants to be somewhere else eventually.

Starting to wonder if he is a team player or a me guy.

Jeter and Mo have nothing to do with the future and if you know the Yankees and Baseball I would beg to differ and your opinion.
- SABRES 89

But they've had everything to do with their past championships
I'm not seeing immediate replacements that ate anywhere close to being as good
And my entire family (except me) are Yankees fans, so I hear about their prospects all the damn time
Hahaha

Buffalo.

Ennis is at the very least a 40-50 point wing/center and Ehrhoff is a 30-40 point #2-3 defensemen. That's 70 points on the low end for someone who is currently playing wing and isn't an offensive juggernaut.

People IMO under rate Ennis

- sbroads

A winger who's two years younger than Ennis and has already blown past his career high. The problem with Ennis is that he's far more effective up the middle than he is on the wing. If he doesn't fit in your long-term plans at center, then you need to trade him.

As far as Ehrhoff goes, if the Sabres are as much in a hurry to unload him as it sounds, they aren't going to get a much better return than that.

We don't need another D man.
- SABRES 89

We need a few
We don't have any depth behind all the kids that will be in the lineup in a year or two
Need to draft that depth now

Third favorite , whoever is playing St. Louis . I will not be upset if they take a step back .

Boo, Max!

But seriously, I have to think the Blues are about a lock for 100 pts. Really aren't losing anyone of significance (thus far) outside of one goalie, and the Schwarzs and Tarsenkos should get more ice time. I do think the Central could be even more clumped, with Avs falling back to earth a bit, and Wild improving if they can get their goalie situation stabilized. Best division in hockey, by far.

They don't need to trade him right now, or at all IMO. He's an effective top 6 player. Can produce on the PP as well. I think he's here 3 years from now as opposed to Hodgson

True...
But its been a long time since that strategy has worked for them
They are an average team that has A LOT of work to do to get back to winning the Series

I know his fans will think I am attacking him. But I wonder if he cares where he is playing or who he is playing with as long as he gets fat Bank.

If the next two drafts go as we all would hope, I doubt either of them are here in three years. It sounds like it's Murray's ideal scenario as well.

Ennis also has no problem getting dirty to score goals, something needed in the playoffs that not everyone is willing to do

I had some reservations about that trade, but followed my hopes that Miller would rise up and match his Olympic form. At first, seemed like he would. Head tells me he has always been a little overrated. That was how he finished. Was worried Halak might have been the better choice last year, but those two are a flip of the coin in the playoffs, IMO. Hindsight is 20/20. Wish we could have seen what Jaro could have done, when healthy, in playoffs, one of these past few years.

You guys did very well already. You still have CStewart to offload next season to the highest bidder. And I'm betting Neuvirth is your #1 goalie and a future trade chip if you don't want to keep him around.

Don't worry, I still love me some Buffalo, just not ahead of my Blues.

Are the AVs offering him a fair deal though?
This situation reminds me of the Briere negotiations
I think he wants to be there, but he also wants to get paid (who wouldn't?)
The AVs are prob trying to do the smart thing and sign him as cheap as possible, so they can keep Stastny too...
AND bring in defensive help

The only reason I think he might be traded is bc it could be more cost effective to trade him for say Ehrhoff & Hodgson, then it would be to sign him for 6mil(?) And someone like Niskanen, Strallman, etc

Also, I think Ehrhoff is better than any UFA dman
Maybe Phaneuf or Yandle could be available

True...
But our future Centers project to look something like:
McDavid
Reinhart
Girgensons

So where do Ennis, Hodgson, Grigorenko & Larsson all fit?
Looks to me like they either move to the wing or get traded
When its said & done...
I wouldn't be surprised if the only one still here in 4yrs is Larsson
