Then you throw all of those young guys into the fire. Besides, it goes against everything that Murray has preached since he's come in, which is that they're going to give guys time to develop. At minimum 3 of the 6 you have in that lineup won't be here next year.

Erhoff is good but not elite. We have a ton of kids in the pipeline.
Myers can stay unless I get an offer that gets me a goal scorer.

Well as I said, I don't think he's the one for this organization IMO. Even though I like both Hodgson and Ennis I do think we need to trade one/move positions (but only keep if it works out). I'm totally fine with trading Ehrhoff. He's reached his full potential long ago and we really have no use for him if we're still tanking. Myers however, is a definite piece of the future core. IMO he's the biggest piece we have right now. I just feel his size and smooth skating will be extremely hard to replace. Let's not forget he did win the Calder.

Man... if this organization could somehow land ROR, that would really be something to build around.

We would no longer be growing a captain, this re-build would surely be underway with a franchise cornerstone.

I've always wanted the Sabres to get another OFD and I think DeAngelo could be a very good pick. I think we need Brendan Lemieux though as well. If Lemieux drops to us I say we should draft him. This team is weak on the wings and we really don't have a guy who plays his gritty and clutch style in the pipeline.

We trade Myers to get a guy that we hope one day becomes Myers?? Soupy is not really incentive. By the time we get good he's gonna be too old. This deal only helps out Florida.

I would trade Grigs if we're getting something a bit more serviceable in return. I think he could turn into a decent player, but it's still fairly unknown. If someone is willing to give something else up for him right now, I think I'd do it.

At least let him spend a year in Rochester with Armia before we move him, he could be a great 2C/1-2RW

Although I like Campbell I don't want him here with his current contract. Florida makes a salary dump and gets a decent prospect while getting a young defenseman with huge upside. And that's all to move up one spot. That's a terrible trade for the Sabres and a terrific one for the Panthers. I really don't think it matters if they move up. They get a Sam guaranteed.
