I'm sorry your mom has lost it, she was quite the stately woman and like I said, would be ashamed of you acting in this manner.
You and bloated are classless goofs who can't even have a debate or internet argument without losing your temper, to funny, what trash. - Pres.cup
I follow your example. |

Probably think there's nothing wrong with China interfering with the 2021 election in favor of your dear leader either? Typical drones.

Now you are just making stuff up. Never once did I lose my cool or call you a name other than Alt-Right. I just call it as I see it.
Nice try at being a victim though. You people use that strategy a lot. Product of never growing up I guess. |

Marwood, you and bloated do know that there's a safe space to jerk each other off in, don't you?
Why are you having public displays of affection in the political thread instead of in private?

naw, you're inspiring.
I guess when you lose yourself in the circle jerk you can sometimes forget where you end and where Marwood begins. It's a sign, you should pull out before you become one.
You do know that you're responding to my posts to Marwood like a good lap dog, well done!

Time to get off of the stupid Covid discussion.
How about a topic I’m sure we can all agree on…
Had to cringe reading Putin’s latest state speech. Accusing the West of igniting and sustaining the war in Ukraine? WTF?
IMO, it was an unprovoked invasion. Any grievances that Moscow had with Western advancements on its boarder could have been dealt with through UN negotiations and Russia’s control of European gas supply. They had leverage that didn’t require military action. Instead this conflict has killed tens of thousands of people and put many people on both sides of the conflict in financial ruin.
I just don’t get it. Since the wall came down I know loads of Russians who have enjoyed access to Western culture and people in the West enjoying access to a rich and historically significant Russian culture.
This conflict just seems so ridiculous considering the breath of the global economy and community. |

My grandfather's family fled Ukraine when Russia took over and created the holodorm. My whole family on that side who stayed where killed during that genocide.
I have no love for Russia.
That being said some things don't add up and we're already getting involved in WW3 which will involve more innocent people being killed.
Russia was wrong to invade Crimea but the west has been instrumental in creating a situation where the conflict spilled into the rest of Ukraine.
Prior to the Russian invasion our media portrayed the Ukrainian uprising as a fascist uprising led by a Nazi regiment that instilled a puppet leader. These are facts, yes there still is an actual nazi special forces regiment active in the Ukraine.
That doesn't make it ok for Russia to invade, it does provide scope for how the west shifted priorities regarding their narrative after Russia invaded.
We should not be sending tanks or aircraft to the Ukraine. We shouldn't even be sending money.
If Canada wants to help we should be sending a ship full of food and shelter to aid the people affected by the war.
All war mongers are evil, putting the lives of other peoples children on the line for cheap political points. War is evil and all steps leading to war should be avoided. |

Here’s another interesting topic for discussion… Censorship of historical art and literature.
The British publisher of Roald Dahl's children's books have removed insensitive language from his novels (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, etc.) to make them more acceptable to modern readers such as passages relating to weight, mental health, gender and race.
Heavy handed or justifiable?
Personally, I think it’s heavy handed and original works of fine art should not be altered. Use them as a teaching tool but don’t fuck with works that are considered culturally significant. |

And yet another topic that I’m sure will create some discussion…
As a first generation Canadian, I’m always interested in the immigration statistics. StatsCan released the results of the 2021 census this past October and some historical significant info was revealed.
Almost one in four people (23.0%) counted during the 2021 Census are or have been a landed immigrant or permanent resident in Canada. This was the highest proportion since Confederation, topping the previous record of 22.3% in 1921, and the largest proportion among G7 countries.
Just over 1.3 million new immigrants settled permanently in Canada from 2016 to 2021, the highest number of recent immigrants recorded in a Canadian census.
The share of recent immigrants settling in Atlantic Canada almost tripled in 15 years, rising from 1.2% in 2006 to 3.5% in 2021.
Over half of recent immigrants living in Canada were admitted under the economic category. Of these 748,120 economic immigrants, just over one-third (34.5%) were selected through skilled worker programs and another one-third (33.6%) through the Provincial Nominee Program.
The proportion of immigrants who first came to Canada temporarily on work or study permits or as asylum claimants before being admitted as permanent residents was especially high among recent immigrants who settled since 2016 (36.6%).
Asia, including the Middle East, remained the continent of birth for most recent immigrants (62.0%).
Almost one in five recent immigrants (18.6%) were born in India, making it the leading country of birth for recent immigration to Canada.
In contrast, the share of recent immigrants from Europe continued to decline, falling from 61.6% in 1971 to 10.1% in 2021.
The vast majority (92.7%) of recent immigrants are able to conduct a conversation in either English or French.
The share of second-generation Canadians (children of immigrants) younger than 15 years with at least one foreign-born parent rose from 26.7% in 2011 to 31.5% in 2021.

After going where you went, you do not deserve to be treated civilly.
Keep on patting yourself on the back, Marwood. You're a big shot and a hero in your own mind. Anyone cowardly enough to tuck tail and avoid any accountability for things they've said deserves to be treated like the failure you are.
Go on though, continue beating the alt-right drum, I'm sure your fellow cultists will applaud you for it. Golfing is the only one who actually engaged in a debate, you're a smooth brained little child with all the emotional tolerance of a toddler who spilled their milk. |
