Arizona didn't score worth poop last year.

Schmaltz led the team with 45p in 70gp.

Hall had the highest PPG with 27 in 35

- jcragcrumple

PPG is great when talking about points.
I was talking strictly goals.
16 goals in 65 games last season...20 goal pace over 82.

That isn't $8m territory, unless Sam is $8m territory.
Save his MVP season, it it very Sam-esque.

Hall before his injury was 5x better skater, stick handler, more dangerous player. I’m sure they hoped that would get rekindled here. You can tell by how weak he is on his skates an stick he is a shell of his former self since the injury

Oh got it, thanks.

I don't see that at all.

He's always constantly on his ass because he plays an incredibly reckless style that leads to him being hit all the time.

Looks like the same old Taylor Hall but in a horribly coached system

Tyler Johnson for Jeff Skinner?
I am not sure how Tampa makes this happen with the money, but the rumor is out there for sure...Tyler Johnson was put on waivers again...that could mean something.

If we're playing the small sample size game:

His 23 goal pace with Coyotes over 82 games would have been 2nd on their team (projecting Garland at 1). In the context of a team that didn't want to score, he did pretty well. Likewise here, I still don't know if he's any good. I certainly wouldn't give him a long extension at $8m but it wouldn't surprise me to see him rebound once he gets to a good team that tries to score

Hall has been a complete failure. Some falls on ralph.

He is not "really good still" .

He's all name and overrated. Loser nhl vet that will be the next moulson, okposo or skimmer

That's pretty harsh - you can't possibly compare him to Moulson and Okposo. Their biggest problem was being slow and then falling off of a cliff as they hit 30. Hall is still a good staker - just no longer elite. He is still a top 6 winger on any team and I do agree that he has been better than his points indicate.

No he's really good. 4th in the NHL among forwards in WAR, one of the top in the league in high danger passes.

He, like all the players on this team can't finish.

Bills are trying to retain Levi Wallace but they’re unlikely to tender him as a restricted free agent. The 35 game starter for Bills is likely to be a free agent
