Getting McDavid to lose his cool is a pretty rare accomplishment. Matthew Tkachuk even struggles to do it and he's a (frank)ing female genitalia.

I don't think that play would instantly make him a "dirty player" though, let's not get carried away... the league should take a look at it but judging by their recent decisions nothing will surely come out of it, I doubt he even gets a fine

my 2 cents.. honestly it looked to me like a guy who doesn't really know how to throw an open ice hit... the good hitters keep their bodies compact and keep the contact shoulder-to-shoulder(ish). the way McDavid's arm flies out after the initial contact is a sign of a guy who doesn't throw many of those hits.

yeah it only takes one asshole to overcompensate for a bunch of nice people

RFA's unless they are offersheeted can only sign with the team that holds their rights (Buffalo), if he goes to arbitration, whatever he is awarded is the contract that he would sign. So unless another team offersheets him or he decides to go to Europe and not sign a contract, the fact that his ELC is up doesn't matter as Buffalo owns his rights.

So, who thinks the off week actually helped the Habs? Ducharme didn't get a lot of time to implement his changes in the few practices they had, but in the off-week, they were doing Zoom sessions, which allowed him to really put in place the changes he wanted. Anyone thinks this may have to do with the way the team played?
