I really thought with a win last night we'd avoid the moronic mouth breathers. Yet here we are...

Awesome photo!

Every time people count this guy out or want to run him out of town, he comes up big - sometimes with a key defensive play, sometimes with a timely goal.

You can’t eliminate the incident itself, but you can eliminate the code that lead to a fight in which more injuries could have happened. That’s literally 2 guys trying to hit the other one as hard as they can in the head. An accident shouldnt lead to a license to try and injure the guy who accidentally hurt Tavares. That’s what I’m saying

Also, start calling the instigator again.

I recently found out a higher percentage of people in the US prefer to dip their fries in ranch than anything else, even ketchup. I thought I'd have been shocked. I was not

I remember in the 90's when people got into a hissy fit over salsa being a more popular condiment than ketchup. I just liked Seinfeld's joke about it being because people like to say the word salsa

When I went to the Netherlands many years back, mayo as the preferred topping. You had to pay extra for ketchup or anything else.

True.

People used to fight when there was a dirty/cheap shot on the ice.

Now its whenever a big hit or someone gets injured.

It's silly.

- Scabeh

Only partly true - it was also about when a player was playing recklessly or pushing the limits of legal/clean vs penalty/dirty. If a player was hitting as hard as they could a fight often brought them back from the edge.

not suggesting this was intentional but through his career Perry is one of those who finds himself in situations like this more often than most. Falling on goalies, collisions on the way to the bench, late contact on the play etc. Foligno (and I cant believe I am defending a (frank)ing leaf) saw who it was and took no risk that it may have been an intentional collision. Perry has some honour too.

The knee to the head was accidental and unfortunate, not the fight. The fight was not unfortunate. The fight was perfectly acceptable. You don't want to fight, don't play hockey. You get paid to take the risks that come with the sport.

Gov't legislating people's behavior regarding seatbelts is contentious. It's infringing on people's right to decide what risks they're willing to take. They aren't harming anyone but themselves. If you want safety, ban private transportation altogether, cars, trucks, motorcycles, bikes... The whole shebang.

Those guys who committed suicide needed help which, counseling, etc. The game didn't kill them.

No one is forcing anyone to wear a condom to prevent aids. Two people are deciding unless you want to legislate that too.

Two guys on the ice decide to go, perfectly fine. The one guy could have chickened out, but to his credit, he didn't.

You are advocating for "safety concerns" legislating everything out of life and hockey.

And this is where I stop replying. I like a debate with smart arguments, but this is not it.
