Only partly true - it was also about when a player was playing recklessly or pushing the limits of legal/clean vs penalty/dirty. If a player was hitting as hard as they could a fight often brought them back from the edge.

not suggesting this was intentional but through his career Perry is one of those who finds himself in situations like this more often than most. Falling on goalies, collisions on the way to the bench, late contact on the play etc. Foligno (and I cant believe I am defending a (frank)ing leaf) saw who it was and took no risk that it may have been an intentional collision. Perry has some honour too.

Foligno's response was dumb...and the Neanderthalls applauding his "emotional response" to come to his captains defense is bull...the game is violent and fast but certain things like this hockey code BS needs to end....the hit was accidental and very very unfortunate...I hope JT is well and back on the ice soon...players like Kadri, Wilson....need to be addressed...not Perry's accidental knee on TAvares.
