Two goals and an assist for Tyson Kozak last night in Portland's 6-4 loss to Seattle. That's the second three-point effort in his 95-game WHL career.
kozak is a sabres 2021 7th-rounder (193rd overall) |

“HHOF Chair, Lanny McDonald spoke w/NHL Bettman & Daly today re: the request from the Blackhawks to have Aldrich’s name removed from the Cup. The parties agree this request is appropriate & will have further dialogue, incl w/ Cup trustees, on how best to effectuate this request.” |

I wonder if Queneville's glowing letter of recommendation for Aldrich will also be rescinded....

Olo did not just become able to pass as I have been mentioning for the last two years. Jack had his best year while playing with Olo and he has kept his head up and passed the puck since he came in the league, similar to how he is helping the two other '70's on his line now except Jack was better and also demanded the puck on his stick more.
There are a few of us who aren't surprised by him and the skills of Thompson while others fixate on Risto. - GilPerreault11

Yeah of course, those would be the prospects if Krebs isn't involved. |

Yes, he should have been great by now.
Touche'...yes I was fast-forwarding through unbearable game after unbearable game - but I've been watching them this year...very enjoyable to watch now. Fairweather fan ? Maybe. It's my rite after suffering for over 50 years.
High pick like that, he should be great by now. He isn't. People around the league should be talking about how great he is by now - instead he's been looked at as a joke. And I trust their opinions over yours. I've never respected you or your opinions - no offense. Just saying.
Take care. - kritter65
Are there really 8 to 10 great players drafted each season?
Top 8-10 picks? Should be plenty of great players on each team?
Classy - never respected me or my opinion.
Says the guy who has an opinion on everything but, doesnt even watch the games to form an opinion.
What ever the opposite of take care is... back at you.
Take no care? |

Why should every 8th overall be "great?" And Risto played on a terrible team with little help as the number 1 D against the other team's top talent, and played top minutes for years on the PK, PP, 22-25 minutes a might and got the Sabres a pretty high first, a 2nd and Hagg in a trade return. I'll take it. When you saw Dahlin in two goals last night who looked lost when does he start to get critiqued more and wonder where the greatness is for a a 1st overall? - GilPerreault11
This is an excellent post.

Oh, it is pretty quiet compared to the balls being ripped off the 8th overall pick - GilPerreault11
Great players are picked 8th overall.
1OA is up to some debate.
It takes so many years to become a true defensive defenseman in dahlins case. Young guy still.
He and his coaching/ practice habits have been focused on his offensive talent.
Also 0 time in the AHL.
He needs samuelsson to help with the defensive side IMO. Butcher is not the answer. He likes to jump up too. |

it's fine to post your opinion. It's even better to back up your opinion with tangible information instead of 'tries hard'. - TheSabresTaco
4th in the league for risto last season in hits.
Despite missing a portion of the season and fighting back from covid.
Here's the tangible information you were looking for.
I'm sure you wont respond.
Hits = physical play , as I noted in my post |

Big tough Defensive Defenseman Kaeden Korczak would fit nicely next to Dahlin. Let Dahlin do his thing and if someone takes a liberty well there's Korczak |

There's no way. The guy was all effort, all the time. Put that into Casey Mittelstadt 2 years ago and we've got a 1C today. - TheSabresTaco

Like the idea of a big guy, don't really know Korczak. Back when Minnesota and Guerin were knocking around, I loved the idea of Calen Addison. After seeing more of our kid though, I think Dahlin does need that steadying, stay at home presence and potential protector. Addison would have been an excellent RH get for us, but the wrong guy. |

the pre and post 2013 drafts are pretty interesting...on the whole, those 8/9 picks after 2013 look to be a couple of notches higher on a talent scale

I say there is some validation in the compensation the Sabres received for risto.
Although, positions are thought of differently ect., at least everyone should be happy that a real gm saw something in risto....
I really like hagg.... hope he holds up all season |

That's tough Boss, he played RD overseas and they seem to want him on his natural hand in Buffalo. If there gonna switch him, I would do it know. |

Robertson

Doesnt do it for me.
Marner actually sucks. We have to many guys who are dependent on their centre.
The 1st sucks cause its most likely in the mid-high 20's.
And Robertson is a good prospect but good isn't great.
And then you have Eichel on our Nemesis |
