Not a huge fan of the contract but Noesen has been good. Should improve our bottom 6/4th line. Him and Cotter should start to give our bottom 6 an identity, which is what Fitz has talked about wanting. Wonder if there's a corresponding move(like Bastian being moved out?).

Definitely happy with what was added to the D and satisfied with the 2 additions to the bottom 6. Really think we need to add another forward still, middle 6 atleast but preferably an actual top 6 guy.

Not getting too worried yet because theres still a couple months until we open the season, so I expect some more moves will be made. But if we go into next season with Palat in our top 6 then it's not looking good.

Forbort signed in Vancouver and Grzelcyk signed in Pitt. I don't think we need anymore D. We have plenty of depth. Dougie, Siegs, Luke, Nemec, Pesce, Dillon, Kovacevic, DiSimone, Hatakka, and even Casey if it had to get to that point. Just wasting cap space at that point, when cap is incredibly valuable atm.

No idea if there's any truth to it, but there's talk that the Devils and Jets have been engaged in trade discussions. Most likely in regards to Ehlers. Would be interesting to see what that kind of trade looks like if anything comes to fruition. Also have had talks with the Avs about Ross Colton.

It's actually so hard to fill out a lineup that doesn't feel bad up front lol. I still see one, maybe even two winger spots that need to be filled. Top 6 for sure and maybe 3rd line lol.

Right now it's legitmately probably something like:

Timo-Nico-Bratt
Palat-Jack-Mercer
Cotter-Haula-Noesen
Foote-Lazar-Bastian
MacDermid as the extra.

Doesnt look good lol, we really need a top 6 winger to push Palat down which then would also push Cotter down too. Noesen is fine on the 3rd line but we could probably do better. Push Noesen down to the 4th and yet Bastian somewhere. Tough look right now. We'll see what changes, if anything.

Don't know how they add another top winger with just under 7 mil in space, and still needing to sign Mercer. Even if they can find a trade for bastian that's less than 2 mil off the cap. If they spend right up to the cap for this year, almost nothing comes off next year, with a luke extension needing to happen. I would assume the top 6 we have now is what we will have going into the season, which definitely leaves something to be desired
