You must have beef with Skinner (if we do $1.5MM AAV for 2 years why not) lol, let’s do Stamkos or Kane, the point is the mentorship you get from these guys for Dach, Caufield and Slaf could be in invaluable.
- habs88888

not really, the same way you probably don't want to marry Jeff Skinner either lol, even if you'd like to see him wear a habs jersey... you'd like to see it happen while I don't really see it as a useful and/or necessary move for the habs, we have different opinions, and that's cool.

meh, I'm down with any trade or signing if it makes sense for the habs, but personally I'd rather they just stay put if it's to get Skinner or Laine lol... sometimes it's about the deal you don't make.

btw the habs have been doing moves basically every summer, so this year would be the exception so far if Hughes ends up not doing anything.

The moves have been meh historically up to this summer, one has been on IR for a long time and the other is a 3rd liner

getting guys like Kirby Dach, Sean Monahan and Mike Matheson were all summer moves and not "meh" at all lol.

One of the big names should sign tomorrow either Stamkos, Kane or Massesault, with the draft that we just did, cup is ours in 5 years, relatively speaking if these moves are made would trump previous summer moves by far

the three players you just mentioned are between 33 and 35 years old, these aren't awesome long-term acquisitions for the habs.

Like I said it’s the mentorship they bring which comes with age, you can’t expect an 18 year old to mentor Caufield do you

now all he's got left to do is extend Marner and bring back Jack Campbell.

I'm guessing Jack would love to play behind a defense who turned him into an Allstar goalie, which then caused him to become a $5.5M goalie
