That's the point. Signing young players out of ELC to "deals" they haven't lived up to yet, but you feel secure it will be a steal.

I highly doubt Slaf or even Byfield will crack to worse than what they signed, but if they do, it was worth it. Keep your young players while you can.
- AdamFrench

when you know the kid is part of your future core... sign him 8 years. no problem.
it's the next contract that may cause a problem, when the player is 29 y/o. not every player deserve another 8y deal at that point. that's where the tough decision needs to be made.

I guess.

I still wish Bergevin kept a cool head and gave the contract to a Phil Danault entering his prime instead.

not much, enjoying this last week of not being too busy at work, as a lot of folks are going on vacation starting from next week, so I'll probably have a lot more on my plate then.

gotta say, I usually don't mind the heat but this heavy humidity has been lasting for way too long. usually after a storm it gets better (last night the rain was (frank)ing insane lol) but that doesn't seem to be doing anything anymore.

Philly saw record snowfall amid heat wave, NWS claims

On Sunday, a storm passing over the Philadelphia area brought a 'trace' amount of snowfall to the region, beating a record of 0.0 inches set in 1870

It may not have seemed like it -- with temperatures in the area hitting nearly 100 degrees as a heat wave moves across the region -- but Philadelphia saw a record snowfall on Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, in information gathered at about 2:02 a.m. on Monday, thunderstorms passed over the Philadelphia region on Sunday afternoon and produced a "trace" amount of hail.

The National Weather Service noted online that, "since hail is frozen precipitation,' the trace amount of snow counts in climate reports.

The "trace" amount is record setting and beat the previous record of 0.0 inches of snow that was set in 1870, the National Weather Service said.

so so you think you can tell
heaven from hell
blue skies from pain
can you tell a green field
from a cold steel rail
a smile from a veil
do you think you can tell
