if she took PEDs to get higher testosterone levels then that's obviously cheating, but if it's natural then it should be fine.
- Pat1993

From what I understand, it's natural.

In some sports, women with that kind of testosterone level are not allowed to participate (any track race under 800m for example, I think).

It's the Caster Semaya debate all over again.

The IBA is a joke. They contested her win against an undefeated Russian boxer claiming either that she was a man or had a high level of testosterone. They can't even get their story straight.

Word on the street is that she has vajayjay but a Y chromosome, it happens.

well that's kind of like saying Phelps shouldn't have been allowed to compete and win all that gold because his body naturally gives him an advantage to be the perfect swimmer lol.

I'm guessing there's probably a lot of discrimination for that kind of thing in Algeria... there sure is a whole lot going on here.
- Pat1993

I don't know. She's a straight lady who happens to be jacked full of testosterone. Islam doesn't have a huge hate on for that, especially because he wins medals

If she was gay and pumped with T, I'm sure it would be different.

Unfortunately T-levels are the only way to find some PEDs, same with red cell blood count to check for EPO doping

Well since there are women's division, they need to define what is a woman.

Could be everyone with a vagina, could be everyone with XX chromosomes.... but they seem adament to also consider testosterone levels.

It was so simple when they first made the category, it seems very complicated in 2024.

Personally, I don't think the amount of hormones should be the defining factor but that's just me.

Base it on testosterone levels and throw away the sex/genders/whatever. There! Solved! Until the next round of things to get pissed about that don't really mean anything substantial

Also add the Super T division which is just the people popping as many PED's as they can physically handle.

I don't think a woman should be prevented from competing if she naturally produces higher levels of testosterone.

meanwhile I also don't think a trans woman (a man who became a woman) should be allowed to compete against other women. it shouldn't be all that complicated imho.

Call me old fashionned but I would do 2 categories.
Cheesy taco + XX you can compete in the women category.

Everything else is in the "open category"

so if your body naturally produces more testosterone you shouldn't be allowed to compete..?

not a very robust solution lol.
