yeah, the injury bug is definitely on everyone's minds, hopefully that curse will be lifted now, especially with guys like Dach, or Caufield who turned out to have a decent season after all coming back from a shoulder injury.

I expect certain teams like Boston might take a hit though, or others to not progress again, like OTT or BUF.

- Pat1993

we are expecting the Habs young players to progress but Ottawa, Detroit and Buffalo expect the same from their young guys, not an easy path forward.

meh, the rebuild for the 3 teams you've just mentioned haven't been going all that great, wouldn't be surprised if they basically performed like last year, or even worse.

HuGo will upgrade the Forward group and make some room for the young Ds and Habs will fight for a wildcard

They lost like 27 games by one goal. Quite sure that won’t happen again

Yes but Ottawa is a team filled with losers, led by losers and cheered for by losers so they're out.

Buffalo, we've been waiting for them to "take a step" for so long now, I still believe but they'll need better goaltending.

Detroit: Looks like Yzerman is under alot of pressure to improve in the short term (at least that's what their most recent moves tell us), they could make the playoffs but it kinda feels like their rebuild will end up with them never really being solid contenders with their current core/ prospect pool.

that is also something I had in mind, and the team is definitely aware of that fact, hopefully everyone's progression will be pushing in the same direction to turn a bunch of those games into Ws.

Yzerman has done some very curious moves over the years, he hasn't been all that impressive as a GM after having a good start imho.
