The NFL Network had a thing about inclement weather games. Disgusting.

is it a bit like those who describe horse races? if not it should be...

the same energy should be used to describe other sports that are boring AF to watch, like golf and baseball.

- Pat1993

they have a lot of air to fill and they get it all out there, info, tactics and both have great senses of humor . there is a third who is out on course either on the back of a moto or elsewhere.

two were racers themselves and the other is known as the voice of the tour de france and married to one of the 1st women to do the race.

not that you give a fuuck. lol

I don't, but at the same time I do find it interesting to hear your take on it, given that you're probably the only person I've ever heard talking about how they like watching the Tour de France on TV loll...

I think an issue Montreal can run into with drafting another high end dman prospect is that you already have guhle, reinbacher, Huston as your future 1-2-3 (Kid). So you get a guy who won't get as many minutes, and defensemen need more minutes to develop. On offense, Montreal has holes in the top 6. You are still getting a good forward at 5
- mr.peanut

If they draft a D, it is because they have a trade already worked out with someone.

or it means they've finally hired Fido to strategize the team's zone defense, and he needs to have more defensemen than forwards on the roster to execute it to perfection.

finally!! lol
I hope you noticed that both EDM and FLA play zone defense. so did DAL and NYR.
and no, they do not have to have a deal already worked out if they draft a dman. it will take a few years for the kid they will draft to join the team. plenty of time to make a deal.

with all due respect fido, you're not entirely wrong, since they do play zone defense, but in reality it's a hybrid, as they do use man-to-man as well depending on the circumstances. but I guess this is the classic never ending conversation about defensive strategies

and yeah I agree that a deal doesn't have to already be in place to draft a dman, but the deal in question doesn't necessarily have to involve the player they'll draft this year either, they could very well be trading other already drafted dmen for some help up front, and keep the kid they're drafting this year as a key piece on the backend.

I really liked the clips someone here sent about Sennecke. Very deceptive with the puck. Impressive.

Pick the best player available at 5 even if its Buuim or D!ckinson and trade Matheson for that 10 pick and draft Sennecke.

Right side next year:
Guhle
Hutson
Struble
Xhakej
Harris
Engstrom

I suspect they have mapped out all the scenarios, know exactly what they want to do if players x/y/z/etc// is at #5, and they have talked to teams about trades / movement of players already.

If they draft a D, one of the current D prospects will be moved in a trade for a forward. If not at the draft on Friday, then soon afterwards.

for sure. we've been talking about the draft for a while in here but for the habs and most NHL teams there are literally months of preparation behind it, and I can imagine they've had and are still having an insane number of conversations around all of the players and the various possibilities of what could happen on draft day.

Hughes and Gorton seem to be both great hockey minds in their own way, and I'm certain they complement and challenge each other along with their scouting team to make decisions that best serve the organization's interests and success.

go habs go, tabarnak.
