try it if you see it. it's a relaxing one. a little sativa-like right off the bat but then it settles in as an indica (it's an indica-leaning hybrid). not necessarily for right before bed, but maybe for listening to pink floyd animals with the black lights on or something similar.

it's actually a real memory. by best friend growing up. we used to get high and do that all the time. it's such a good album for just being good old fashioned stoned.

I mean, stoners, black lights and psychedelic/progressive rock go hand in hand, like three peas in a pod. or three buds in a joint, if you will.

edit: no on second thought it was Dark Side of the Moon. it's like they were made to go together or some poop.

yeah, acid can be an "intimidating" drug at first, and I always tell people that aren't sure about it, if you aren't 100% in the mood to do it, or you're prone to bad tripping easily, then don't. just try something else lol.

but with the right dosage and quality, it's amazeballs.

bah, you say that but I feel it's the minutes/hour before the buzz kicks in that is the most stressful, cuz you don't know what to expect. after that, with the right setting and some good company, it's all smooth sailing.

also, i just strapped on the bass and i missed it so bad. my new little amp thing sucks but it works. i'll have to buy a better one. i think if i learn one, it will be the bass. it's more fun when i pick that up and mess around with it than the guitars.

is it one of those little pre-amp thingys you just plug the jack and earphones in, but for the bass?

and yeah playing the bass can be pretty damn fun. slapping is a bit hard but you can also play some basslines easily, without having to learn chords which your fingers have a hard time getting used to and being comfortable with.

yeah i bought one that was supposed to work with a guitar or a bass, but it's buzzy and lame on both. it's fine for just messing around but it's not like my old one. the effect button hardly even does anything.

and yeah, with the bass i feel like you don't have the intimidating chords, and while you have to help be the rhythm section you get to create fun little bits too. almost like drum fills but with the strings.

hmm, personally I find it a bit odd it's supposed to work for both, I would think you'd need one specifically for the bass to get a decent sound...

and yeah, the bass is usually part of the rhythm section in a band, and it's essentially what you're doing, drum fills on strings.

yeah, I haven't shopped for bass ones but the pre-amp I bought is specifically made for guitars, I doubt it would sound too great on a bass with that kind of distortion/effect.

and that's cool, eventually you could record some basslines and send them my way so I can add a guitar layer or two over it...

yes, if the guitar riffs aren't too complicated I can usually sing and play at the same time.

I always wanted to play at the Bell Center, that poop would (frank)ing rock...!!

we could always start with the Slush Puppie arena in Gatineau first, just to get accustomed to playing on a stage, in front of a smaller crowd.

indeed. I recall vaguely having conversations about starting a band with people from this thread, but that was all make pretend, and not a serious project such as this one.
