which is obviously bullpoop lol, he might as well be playing in the VHL (the russian equivalent of the American Hockey League).

and at that point Hughes and Bobrov might as well orchestrate a sooner than expected arrival for Demidov here, and get him some more constructive AHL/NHL ice time.

KHL tends to not play young guys, especially forwards. They're weirdly punitive about it.

Hell Michkov got loaned to a different KHL team last year because SKA decided they had no room for him.
