When the drop pass from the neutral zone back to the defensive zone fails for the 762nd time go out and try it 544 more times
- mr.peanut

same logic as with the "core four", just run it back until you win, making changes to get the desired results is way too complicated.

and they signed Marc Savard as an assistant coach.

Would have been a good addition to the MTL staff.

indeed. I wonder if the habs are going to add to their coaching staff, there's still time but I would've thought it would already be done if they were looking to do so.

They can't not run it back with them. 2 guys now locked in for years, and the other 2 on the cusp of ufa status. All have NMCs. Keefe also fed into the issues, stubbornness to adapt and accept change. Leafs PP was the best when Reilly was suspended and Tavares was hurt. What happens when they're both available? Well good guy Keefe would never keep em off pp1, so back to mediocrity

All you're doing is letting the team wall up their blue line while the rest of your team stands still.

I'm under the impression that the no-movement clauses shouldn't be a huge obstacle, why would they all want to repeat the same poop over and over again... at some point you have to consider opportunities elsewhere instead of consistently pursuing the same kind of humiliation, wtf.

No movement clauses should be banned.

FFS, some 3rd and 4th liners are getting them... even if they not full no-movement.

The issue with marner is he doesn't like being told what to do. He'd be willing to move, but not when it's the team's desire. Also, him waiving it indicates that he realizes that he is the problem and he needs to move. Why would he want that label?

It is fine to do once and a while, mix poop up, not over and over and over every time you get the puck. I also hate when I guy is near the offensive blue line and passes it back deep into his own zone... like... wtf is the point in that? You turn a speed advantage into 9 guys standing around, then not being able to get into a position to help get full puck control.

Goodrow has the sharks on his 25 team no trade list. Rags put on waivers knowing the sharks would claim him

yeah, a 10 or 15-team no-trade list is more reasonable, with that at least the players aren't being traded somewhere where they reaaaaaaally don't want to be lol.

personally I would just see it as a guy who finally realized he isn't winning poop in TOR and justifiably decided to move on...

Gms give them away

if you have a clause in your contract, would you use it? The league can put some rules regarding this maybe, but untill then...

you don't get what you deserve in hockey, you get what you negotiate. Demand vs offer. Good for him for getting it if he was in a position to secure it with his agent.

most players get them today, cant blame the players for asking and getting. Its up to the gms or maybe the league.

part of the CBA, as long as it is available and the players are able to get a GM to give one out, good for them. Job security for them

I think the players association would definitely have a say in this, and I highly doubt they'd ever accept removing the possibility for players of getting no-movement/no-trade clauses.

so the Sr management of the cup winning team this year will not be able to attend their stanley cup parade since the draft is on Friday/Saturday in Vegas.

unless they push the parade to next week...a full week after winning the cup

sounds like this would just complicate things without really solving anything. in fact, for the most part both players and GMs might not even have an issue with NTCs and NMCs, so if it's just a few fans at home complaining about it then a change might not be necessary lol.
