I mentioned it last year his agent reached out to the pens but his agent told them he would sign for 3 years at 3.5 mill and they were told more or less they wanted to go a defensive route. Which they ended up doing.

That still seems like a reasonable contract. Domi didn't do anything to price himself out of that and he would definitely fit a need for us.

You hate fun?

If you’re going to have fun and suck at hockey you should at least fight people, or hit and do some crazy poop on the ice.

I think he had like 46 even strength points in 80 games with 14 mins of ice time. “IF” he will sign for that again it “should” be a no brainer for Dubas to do.

He wasn't given a chance last season down the stretch, even when in Ned's last 5 starts was 3.98 GA and .867 SV% haha
- MattStrat

Would you switch goalies on a winning streak? Would you have not dressed Bob for game 7 based on his numbers in games 4,5,6?

Are you ok man? I like you Matt, you are just really fired up here over nothing, lol.

I don't recall ever saying much about Draisaitl, I had always assumed he would just be resigned immediately but as we get closer to the offseason it has become a topic. I must have missed your post, but anyway, facts are facts. No players are taking discounts to come to Canada, players are taking less money to go to the US.

I think Canada has gone off the rails a bit lately, but so have places like California that would otherwise be great to live. I've never said I hate Canada nor did I say it is a horrible place, I do find myself wondering if life would be more enjoyable living somewhere a bit warmer, where I get to keep more of the money I earn. Its not a reach to think hockey players probably feel the same way.

So if you hate this topic, just drop it because I made no reference to it earlier.

- MacPatty

Alright, man. Let's drop it. So, what do you think will happen with Jarry? Haha

I’m at the sphere right now for the draft tomorrow! This place is pretty fucckin sweet!
If I learned anything from my first draft last year it’s that there are a million rumours and talks going on at all times so impossible to figure out how close things actually get.
1 player the pens will be in on is Domi. Also he is 1 player I can personally guarantee would want to sign with the pens.
There have been talks about Jarry, Rak and Graves

- pens4life-66

Fvckin awesome.

I wanted Domi last offseason, Berrtuzi too. I think the Leafs might try to lock Bert up. He really started gelling with them the last half of season. Down with Domi for the Pens.

They lost to the Bruins in that time period and Ned was pulled in the game.

I probably wouldn't have started Bob in game 6.

Thank you for the insight as always! I was rooting for your team because of you being in our forum. You guys were so close this year! I agree with everyone in this forum. Getting Domi would be awesome! I hope you are correct I also hope we move those 3 and Smith.

I heard Toronto may potentially shop their 1st for a Goalie and they had a comparable package for Markstrom before he got traded to NJ. I wonder if they would take Jarry and trade us their 1st?

I also saw some rumors online Detroit has some interest in Jarry.

The Athletic is reporting we are interested in potentially signing Anthony Beauvillier for the bottom six.

Side note how interesting would if some of the rumors end happending with Utah and they acquire Marner, and Guentzel for their top line.

He's not going to be as cheap as that this time. Not with cap going up. Sucks they didn't pull trigger on that last year.

It appears its finally Donning on yinz… finally Waddelling up to the best idea floated out there:

Elvis finally leaving Nationwide building along with Gudbranson and Olivier and there 4th overall (only if Iginla is still on the board) in exchange for Smith, Graves or Joseph, and Jarry.

You can play around with other players like Pickering and Laine…
flip some picks?? Give Waddell back some the gave up for Guentzel?

It leads to a 2nd line of Iginla centering both Yager and Malkin… the 3 center line – keeping the elders together – while building for the future on the fly... and keeping everyone entertained at the same time.

Everybody’s a happy camper. Go ahead... (without nitpicking) Prove me wrong.

Oh yea… Haha

As much as I would love to add a guy like Domi, you know Sullivan would veto that. Sullivan’d again.

That would have sent the message of panic dude. Goaltending is about wins losses. Especially within the last few weeks. Also these desk jockeys saying Canada sucks were rich hockey kids growing up. America sucks just as bad. I can’t go to a gas station in bum (frank) western PA with 4 blue haired non binaries staring at their phone instead of ringing out my can of dip. At least Canada prefers Hockey over Football.

Solid variant on the old all of our bad players for all of their good players proposal: all of our bad players for a top 5 pick in the draft.

Thanks for the insight as always. Domi fills my desire for a wing that can play center while also adding some grit. He'd be a nice addition.

There is no world where we get the fourth overall pick for the players you want to offer. And if we did, we better draft someone better than Iginla.

Not sure there’s a world we get the 4th overall pick for anyone on our roster period. Would CBJ have any amount of confidence at all they could build a winner around Crosby before he retires? Maybe they’d delude themselves into it because it’s Crosby.

I'm not in the "trade Jarry camp", but yeah, I'd take that.
