Not a fan of number 45 but am thinking those convictions are dead on appeal. Lack. of jurisdiction being the primary basis. |

Would be ironic if the Flames jump to #4 to supplement their tear it down to the studs philosophy.
If Flyers stay @ 12 hopefully Catton, Helenius, or Parekh are available. I believe one of those prospects will be available. |

Idk why but I think Habs are going Parekh even if it’s a little bit of a reach there. He seems like the kind of player they love. |

I saw some ridiculous report that the Flames were linked to Trouba... rebuilding the Flyers way. |

I wanna get a Flyers jersey #34 with the last name Felonies on it
You don’t have to be for the other guy but still supporting Trump at this point is insanity. That’s my 2 cents. |

Parekh @5 would be spicy. I kind of think Buium at that spot. Read Silayev is not coming over until his contract ends in '26. Does he slide out of the top 5? |

Agree it is nice to see a GM be aggressive considering Chuck "it's hard to make trades" and Hextall aka: sit on my hands and do nothing. - Flyfly
hahah, hextall, i will trade you my good player for scrubs because i dont like how his contract MAY look like in a couple years from now.

I feel like this is the script from the movie Draft Day and Danny is Kevin Costner.
Columbus is Indianapolis trying to move the QB (Lindstrom). - Glak18
Last Flyers GM to resemble KC in DD was Keith Allen. It has been a long line of mediocre at best to down right buffooon-ish since |

If the deal seems super risky, it's probably not going to end up well, but some times you have to take the risks.
All we can do is wait 5 years and critique the move or non-move.
Guaranteed if the player that ends up being pick at #4 becomes a star, Flyer fans will bring up this rumor...even though that player they would pick is not the same player. It's a foolish game.
I'm looking at the players available, all of them, and who would I give up 3 1st round picks for....Celebrini. That's it. I wouldn't give up 3 1st round picks in 2023 to select Michkov, but Bedard I would have. - Glak18
You’re correct it will be brought up. We were talking about the rumored Ekblad deal from 2014 just a few weeks ago. Pretty sure most of us agreed they should have made the move. I’m not as firm in my conviction about moving up this year to 4 as I was then. I would rather a move to 6 or 7, and hope Buium drops there or take D!ckinson if not. Hopefully they’d be able to keep 12 in that scenario by moving a package centered around TK or Farabee. |

EF said they would talk again today. I don’t think it’s dead. And in my opinion I sometimes think rumors are leaked to put pressure on a team.
It could happen. But man, it’s a tough balance between trading extra picks when you need a large amount of young talent infusion or getting less pieces but a truly elite talent.
I feel like the Flyers have lacked elite talent for sometime now and it’s hurt them. - Flyers1218
I’m fine with them trading multiple assets to acquire elite talent. They don’t need more middle of the lineup talent. I have no issues with pick 32, the Colorado pick, any 2nd or later pick, TK, Laughton, or Farabee being traded. I’d be hopeful to retain 12th overall if possible and use a combo of the others to get a higher pick or elite prospect. The Colorado pick is likely to be 25+ next year so that should be factored in. You can also look at it as trading Sean Walker. |

If Reinhart comes in at 9.5 million/yr, going to be an awful look if TK is in that price range. Reinhart is a year older. I get the tax advantages of FLA, fans will only compare the cap hit. - Trox88

I think that may be why some have started to shift the thinking of Silayev at 3 to ANA and instead have seen Buium at 3 a couple times this week. |

I'm in the camp that if they move up it's for Buium or D!ckinson, otherwise if they stay put and take Catton, Eiserman or Helenius.
I don't see the benefit of trading up at an expensive cost to grab Demidov, the only true reasoning for that would be PR. Could be a great player, but I haven't seen enough to know that. When he played with Michkov I believe Matvei was the driver. He made some outstanding plays, but I don't think the two have to be reunited to create magic.
As for Lindstrom, I personally see that as a 5 year developing cycle before he shows if he will hit that ceiling, that is not a player made for Philly, plus he has back surgery concerns. Not sure how many times the Flyers have to gamble before it finally pays off.
Then the team needs to continue to clear salary then focus on the next 2 years to draft a superstar, not trade up for one.
Update: I am also a believer that many of the rumors that come out on draft day are planted, so it shows mix signals where a team is going to draft and who. All it takes is one team to bite to start changing the order. |

Completely agree with you. If Demidov was a C or Lindstrom had no injury history and had been dominant all year, then I’d have no issues with moving to 4. But that’s not the case. |
