The Flyers are the only team in the NHL that can give TK an 8 year deal. So TK has no leverage to force the Flyers to give him an 8 year deal. It is TKs last big contract, but for the Flyers he will be a 2nd line RW if Michkov develops as hoped, and I think that will put a wrench in the nogotiations. - jd250
How did Tippett get an 8 year deal, then?

It’s gonna be big
Demidov and Michkov are buds. Hopefully Demidov is not answering calls. Standing teams up. This is the way things are going lately.
So the move is
To CLB: Foerster, #12, #32, CLB 2nd rounder back
To PHI: #4 (Demidov)
Michkov and Demidov for years.
Do it Danny. - Just5
The flyers would be better served spending assets on a legit #1 center.
I have a gut feeling if the flyers trade Foerster now he will become the next Justin Williams. The flyers will watch another former player have success and win cups on other teams. |

I'm betting the Flyers move Michkov to C. He played C in the KHL at times. |

JFC - I am talking about trading for Pinto. So you think Pinto is worth a 1st round? LOL - Flyfly omg
probably not based on his track record so far; maybe one of the last few picks such as 32. depends on where teams see him grading out as still has "potential"
I would easily trade laughton for him if that was available.
you replied to a diff post that was talking about getting a #1 C and #1 d. |

Any team that trades for TK can then give him an 8 year deal.

exactly... he is getting an 8 yr deal. He and his agent would be morons to accept anything less.

He played C a few times in preseason for SKA. As far as I know he was strictly a wing at Sochi. |

yep...unless the market just dried up.
the flyers will be happy as hell to have him in the fold for 8 more years. my hope is tk wakes up and decides he wants to win. then forces a trade. |

would you do #32 for Pinto? Laughton 1 for 1?
now not so sure the sens would. |

I want no parts of Pinto at his asking price. Rumors are $5mil AAV.

Just a friendly reminder that there were a grand total of zero trades on Day 1 of the draft last year. Temper your expectations. - Tomahawk
Agree it’s unlikely but with the cap going up for once it may give teams some room to maneuver. |

Supposedly Rotenberg had him studying film of Crosby's off-puck game as part of the transition.
The Flyers will probably start him out w/ Coots, Cates or Poehling centering him, but I think eventually they'll Claude him out of necessity. |

I've seen the name pop up a few times, but not recently (though I do have to admit, I don't follow the comments closely when the clown parade is in town)...
What would it take to get Shane Wright out of Seattle and is he still regarded as an option to be a #1 C?
Would you put the #12 in play? Would you consider a deal involving Konecny (solo or as part of a package as Seattle is looking for more offense) for other prospects and/or 2025 picks? |

I sure hope not. I don't want them saddling him with any more extra defensive responsibility than needed. |

Yes, the overpaid boat anchor only played 21 games of the last 41 and averaged an embarrassing 6:53 per game. Anyone who defended signing a face puncher in his 30s for four years should be offering an apology. - Feanor

😂 go read fly fly reaction, try and connect some dots for yourself. Or maybe go play where’s Waldo again, that’s about all you’re good for. |

That’s nuts. I like Foerster as well. But you talk about rebuild? That’s how you rebuild. Michkov and Demidov are going to be legit stars.
You’re letting Foerster hold you back from that?
Think about the ufa talent they would attract having those two. Nobody’s coming here to play with foerster.
Flyers have enough to get to 4 - Just5
I’d rather move up to take one of the defenseman. A potential 1D is better than another star winger. You also still need a 1C. As many reports are saying it’s difficult to move up even into the top 8 let alone all the way to 4.
Boston does not have the centers to win. Toronto doesn’t have the defense to win. Edmonton for a long time didn’t have the defense to win. Look at Buffalo, they had tons of offensive talent that has since gone on to win cups elsewhere because they didn’t draft defense. Now that they have, I can finally see Buffalo turning a corner.
Demidov is likely to be a very good player but he’s a player you hope to get once you’ve drafted your 1D and 1C. |

You wouldn't move Tyson for a chance at the most skilled player in the draft who scouts compare to Kaprisov and Kucherov? - Tomahawk
That’s a style comparison not a talent comp. Demidov isn’t as good of a skater as those guys. |

Flyers are not moving Foerster. He is already their best two way winger and will be a top line player for the next 10 years. I would not unload a ton of assets for a top line center right now unless the deal was right. You don't chase decent - not great assets because of need. You wait until the time is right.
Roll with Frost and Selke for now. See how that works out and maybe dip into the market when their cap clears up. By that time, maybe another center in their system evolves, but either way they are not under any pressure to do anything right now other than draft correct and try to clear up space. Bring in a vet Russian to assist Michcov. Bring in Anisinov or sim as a coach. Their rebuild continues. They just need to ensure Michcov is in the right environment and as we saw last year they are not going to be a bottom 5 team. They just have too many good young players for that at this time.
