If all these things happen they should be better than middle of the pack in my honest opinion.
They were middle of the pack with Lame Brain as the coach for 3/4 of the year.

True….good point. The hiring of Lane Lambert was a head scratcher. If we learned anything from the Snow years, it’s that unproven coaches are not a winning recipe.

I don’t want someone with islander ties. I want the best person for the job. One name that always comes to mind that’s never been front office is Messier. Wonder why? Not saying he’s a fit for the isles or would even consider it, but he’s of that Yzerman ilk, and never got hired. 🤷‍♂️

Valid reasoning and interesting point.

I think we will.
Love the way they are playing. Quick on pucks and quick puck support giving Rags no time. Definitely Roy hockey.

The third period was painful, but this the time when we see what the team has. I thought Varly looked solid. I liked the Barzy, Bo, Duc line.

Teaky clearly not ready for NHL, AHL, and I question the ECHL.

Agreed, Varly was solid and the top line had a massive night. The PP should be improved with the additions of Duclair and Tysolakov, both of whom add vision and skill.
I think the isles are really lacking on the backend. I would like to see them add a vet who can log 15 min a night, kill penalties and close out games with a min to go. They miss those Boychuk minutes.

Team misses players like Toews and Leddy that can skate the puck out of trouble.
