The Deslauriers stuff is gold Jerry, gold! I was wrong when I said Flyers are approaching Cubs/Billy Goat level of dysfunction. They’ve actually surpassed it.
Got it…. Haters are going to hate!!
Oh and btw I don’t give a rats a$$ if this is how you live your life! It’s like watching Jerry Springer show with the bottom feeders fighting to live on the bottom.
I know there are some others that see BOTH positive and negative things with this team!
I’ll pray for you too!

You're making an ignorant straw man argument. Instead of debating and or countering the points that are made. You're instead attempting to attack the poster. Partly undoubtedly because deep down, you know that he is correct. You just can't bring yourself to admit it. You're unwilling to see reality.
Though I don't agree with Frost sitting out 6 or 8 straight games or whatever it was early last season, I think Frost and Michkov are very, very different players. Michkov to me is more like Foerster and TK, in that he will take pride in learning how to check, fight along the boards and retrieve pucks. Frost was not this type of player consistently and that is why he sat. I will say last season was Frost's most consistent season in the NHL once he got back into the lineup and hopefully he will continue that. But to me Michkov will not get benched by Torts, not because Torts will treat him differently, but because Michkov will not give him any reason to.
Everyone keeps looking at Torts and thinking he just benches players for the hell of it, and that is completely false. Though I don't like the benchings, the players who were benched did their share to end up there. - jd250
Here is it, July 24th 2024 and you still can't accurately assess Frost as a player. It's a virtual guarantee that at some point, Tortorella will bench Michkov. You still can't figure this coach out either. Just brutal
I care more about having a serious front office that can chart a plausible path to the Stanley Cup, which the Flyers do not have.
Hilferty - Random Health Insurance exec but good at collaborating. ZERO hockey knowledge, zero NHL front office knowledge.
Jones - No front office experience, never wanted to be in the front office but likes being on TV and is a recognizable face.
2 out of 3 people in the Flyers front office never worked in hockey management in any capacity, nor were they looking to join a front office. They were hired by comcast to help "sell" the Flyers to the fans. Even Briere has the thinnest resume you've ever seen.
The senior advisors have the most experience in running the team and they are still around.
https://www.nhl.com/flyers/team/front-office Senior Advisor Bill Barber
Senior Advisor Bob Clarke
Senior Advisor Paul Holmgren
Senior Advisor Dean Lombardi
Senior Advisor Bob Murray
Special Advisor, Hockey Operations John LeClair
Special Advisor, Hockey Operations Patrick Sharp
Hilferty and Jones had no qualifications and neither had to sell the Flyers on their vision of the hockey club. Hell, the only things we've heard about John LeClair/Patrick Sharp is how they were used as props in vilifying Cutter Gauthier from the PR team.
Anyway, let's get back to extending every 30+ 3rd/4th line/3rd pair player on the team to lifetime contracts because they are going to culture their way to the Stanley Cup on their walkers but pay no attention to the team building because we have this shiny toy in Michkov over here.
Like it or not, it's more important for the Flyers to appear successful than to actually try to be successful. That's not being miserable, it's life in corporate America.

I share some of your frustrations with the team especially when Cliff Fletcher was the GM. I do have faith and will give Jones, Briere and Torts 3-4 years to get the franchise back on track.
I just can’t be negative on everything every day. Me and my grandson enjoyed the prospect camp I hope you find something to enjoy about this team too!

That online Wharton certificate doing all the heavy lifting lol.
The rest of the resume is him basically learned his craft from Chuck Fletcher... who is probably the most incompetent GM in this team's long history of incompetent GMs.

I do NOT identify as a straw man!! I am straw nonbianary!!
And you calling me ignorant is only because you are ignorant yourself!
My point of views on the Flyers are both positive and negative. I can see the positive but several of the posters on here can only see the negatives.
I will let the group decide which group you fall into.

It's really simple. If someone has a negative viewpoint on the team and you feel differently. There's really two choices in how to respond. Like you did, focusing on the poster. Or reply, here's why I think your wrong and list the reasons why. You didn't choose the latter for obvious reasons. If you attempted to make that argument, I think it would just compound the ignorance as there just isn't an argument to be made. Not a rational one anyway.
One thing I absolutely love about Michkov is he is not just happy to be here and have a chance to play in the NHL, he repeatedly talks about winning the Stanley Cup. This is something you can't teach, and I think its a very great quality.

I said Frost had his best season in the NHL once he got back into the lineup. What else do you want me to say about him? Do you disagree with this assessment? How much do you want to bet that Michkov does not get benched by Torts?
