We have to remember we are a small minority with the criticism.
People still go to games, slurp up the Flyer selling points.
The fanbase, and their undying support is as much of a problem as anything. Comcast sees no reason to change the formula. It works. |

The Facebook comments are the polar opposite of anything you read here. The TK signing was the signing of the decade to some of these weirdos. Give him the “C”! |

I am a Flyers fan that lives in GA, I miss maybe 5 games a season. - WhiskeyMan
I'm a Flyers fan that lives in Toronto
But I watch 90% of games, and wat h them live when they play the leafs or Ottawa.
And once a year I go to watch them in Philadelphia.
But I do get to watch London knights play live a lot |

They are not going to be able to get a #1 center in free agency. I think Briere knows that by now. Everything comes down to the 2025 draft. - psuhockey
Agree and 3 first and a few seconds could make you a player in the draft, and that's not including what we might fetch at trade deadline.
I think dB has already identified 2025 draft as the big 1 that will shape the Flyers foundation.
And apparently there is a Russian center with as much potential as michkov in this draft with the hkl contract might let him drop as well |

I complain because I’m angry. Something I loved for a very long time has been horribly mismanaged for over a decade with no end in sight.
For those who say they stick with the team through good and bad, well, so did I. I was season ticket holder during the 89-94 dark years and I probably missed all of 10 games during those seasons. I watched or attended nearly every game during 06-07 as well. And, going way back as a teen, I never lost faith during the rough patch from 80-84.
But during those times, I had hope. I had faith that they would right the ship. Now I just don’t. The current management team seems just as inept as the last one and there is no Ed Snider to hold anyone accountable. Trying to act like the current regime is a new one is also quite disingenuous. Briere worked under Fletcher as did Flahr, Fletcher also hired Torts. Jones has been on the payroll forever as has Hanrahan and Lappy keeps on rolling even though few, if any, impact players have been developed under his stewardship.
Sorry, if you want to believe in Briere and company, that’s certainly your right, but other than Michkov falling into their lap, they haven’t done squat in my book. Bring in new ownership or even a competent PoHO and GM and I’ll start watching again. Until then, unless they are playing a top team with players I want to see, I’m not going to waste my time. - BiggE

I don’t miss many with ESPN but I do have to go out more often than I’d like if there is a blackout. Living in Michigan, the home games against the red wings are automatic. - roenick97
I don't miss any games, and I only watch about 1/3! |

I do not mind supporting a bad team, but I absolutely hate supporting bad, idiotic management |

I'll start today.
Management is cluessless.
The coach is a bully.
Our scouts can't identify talent.
We screwed the pooch on signing Gautheir.
Kolosov was abandoned.
The Earth is flat.
Please discuss. - bct222
That's gold, Jerry! Gold! Although I'd like to add that the alumni fossils still influence the team!
I bet Clarkie has something to do with the Kolosov situation...he hates those Russians! Surprised he let us pick Michkov.

ESPN+ is AWESOME....THOUSANDS OF GAMES A YEAR!
Well...technically the team you follow you only get 15 games, but it's so awesome. NHL is making it better every year by adding more channels!
All you need now is ESPN+, TNT, ESPN, ESPN44, weekend games on odd months are on Cartoon Network, rival games now showing on Oxygen, all games on January 25 will be shown on BET.
I am so excited, if I subscribe to 27 services I get 80 out of 82 games...I love you NHL! - Glak18
Lmao! I hear you on this. We have a bunch of services, and some I bet nobody watches. Don't have ESPN+ and Apple TV and refuse to get them. I'll watch the recaps of those games on Youtube.

That's funny! I'm not on FB or anything else, so I only see what's on here. Again, big fan of TK, but not the contract. As for the C, I would've given it to him over Coots last season.

Flyers have four RFA's after this season (Frost, Cates, Foerster, York). Who is still a Flyer in 2025-2026? |

Unless the Flyers are picking high in the draft. Getting a future elite player is unlikely.

That and they probably used up all of the potential luck when they got Michkov. They really need another team or two to fall asleep at the wheel to get elite talent.

Per TSN, it is believed that the Philadelphia Flyers made an aggressive pitch to the Columbus Blue Jackets. #CBJ reportedly said no.
To Flyers: 4th overall pick.
To #CBJ: 12th overall pick, a roster player, 2025 first rounder.
Of note: the Flyers have two firsts in 2025.
------------------------------
But 2025 is going to be different... Are they going to be more desperate and offer more?
People act like they didn't have a lot of ammo last draft.

Depending on who the roster player was that does not seem like a lot. If the roster player was York and the 2025 pick was the Flyers pick unprotected then maybe you have something.
Teams just are not going to trade out of the top 5.

They passed on Buium who is a potential elite talent. IMO they blew that with him falling into their lap.
I don't really trust them based on their track record.

Buium is a weird case for me. If he is such a lock elite talent why did he make it to 12? I have not watched a second of him playing so I cannot offer an educated scouting report.
Why were teams hesitant to take him? I get that drafting is not an exact science.

Don’t worry. It’s easy to move up in the draft to an elite position. Also easy to acquire elite talent through free agency. Even easier for the Flyers crack drafting and analytics team to unearth elite talent in the later rounds.

Agreed but that Russian is elite and a center but he comes with a 3year khl lock, exactly like michkov was.
So he will probably drop |

This is a decent explanation of how he fell.
