That's a guy they couldn't afford to miss, especially given the revamped secondary.

Bills Offense better get ready I think they are going to need to put up big scoreboard numbers to win games this season with that D now.

Can only protect 1 goalie, UPL will be the one most likely unless he flops. If he does we're just stuck with the contract, but not expecting it. 7/3/1 means we're losing 1 of the 2 most likely.

I was hopeful after I saw that thread with some doctors saying they didn't see the bunching indicative of a tear.

I like what Sal said...Dorian Williams and Terrell Benard were the duo of the future. We're just seeing that happen earlier than expected.

I think any goalie that watches him sees it. I'm still very confident he will be one of the best goalies in this league, no less a backup. It's really more about his movement, angles and reactions. He really is special. Height is a link, but his style to Saros' is very similar. I would bet a large amount of money he is that caliber of tender.

Stats wise, posting a .927 on Rochester last year is proof enough for me that he's backup quality right now. But for sake of argument, that .899 puts him 43rd in the league for goalies. So despite us not liking it or agreeing perhaps, he's already performed at acceptable backup levels. Most backups don't post +.900sv%.

Why would you want winning hockey when you get multiple press conferences a year from the HHC?
