lost power for 15 minutes

I got about 2 inches of rain

pretty much a normal august day if the rain started at 4pm instead of 4 am

- homiedclown

poop, here in Bradenton/Sarasota area we received 11+" of rain in 24 hours.

We are seeing bands of rain, some really light, other are torrential downpours.

Glad you guys are Safe! Buffalo just got hit by a Tornado about a couple hours ago.
- Buff36

Hope there wasn't any significant damage.
We had Tornado sirens go off 2X last night/this morning.
Cazy poop this early in the season.

Too many items. 3 max at 7/11

Lottery people are the only people I can't stand at a convenience store. Holy poop it always goes on so long and somehow they never know what tickets they want despite buying $30 worth. And look out if they start doing the tickets where you have to pick numbers

I been out here telling people for years that Buffalo is a Midwest city
- Jet Jaguar BD

It definitely is, we even call Coke "pop" just like the Midwest when if you go like 40 minutes east it becomes "soda"

Moreso than the roadkill bear drop off in central park news? Between that and the brain worm, I can't decide if this guy wants attention or just has worse luck than his Uncle.

Yea but we “put up” with winter because we don’t get Tornados or hurricanes.

Can argue we now regularly get hurricane gusts during winter.

He is the dark horse acquisition for sure.
CBJ doesn't want to retain alot, balking at suggestions of 50%, and they want a roster player +(?) In return.

With his recent (mental) health issues that he went into treatment for, coupled with a significant drop in production, his price is certainly reduced for any team taking on the risk.

Still, IF (LARGE I F) he can recover and rediscover his sniper abilities, watch out. He could be worth taking a flyer on
Greenway for Laine at 25% retained (~$6.3m net).

Greenway, Krebs, Rousek
For
Liane (-25%), Ceulemans

I did not realize laine has been in Columbus for 4 years already. A ppg and just under ppg season before whatever happened last year is interesting

Not sure a headcase is something we need in that locker room though

It makes no sense to buyout Skinner and then trade for Euroskinner

I almost missed this, too

In North Carolina they call all soda "coke" and ask for "an orange coke" when they want an orange soda. On top of that, my uncle told me when he first moved there he asked for a "pop" at a restaurant and the guy gave him the strangest look and came back 15 minutes later with a tootsie roll pop

Touchè

But if they spend assets to acquire Laine it would make me wonder why they bothered to buyout skinner at all. Idk, I just don't see it happening

I personally think Laine is an upgrade over Skinner and I can say with 100% honesty that Jeff Skinner has always been one of my favorite players besides Afinogenov and Ovechkin.

I am salty about buying him out. But even I know Laine is an upgrade over Skinner. Like going from a manual Ford Escort to an Automatic Ford Taurus. Trust me, the Taurus was better. No one knows how or why but it was.

Jeff Skinner is an out of control Lancia Delta S4 ripping the e brake through a hairpin without headlights and Laine is a Peugeot 205 with a slightly drunk co driver and bad brakes. Either could win but I'm putting my money on the Lancia.
