We created 15 million jobs”

Restated DOwN 818,000

“Oops - we mean 14.1 million jobs.”

11 million were COVID recovery jobs

“Well we created 3 million America jobs”

But 1.8 million went to immigrants.

BUT TRUMP …….

And don't forget the rather significant increase of Government jobs.

Ies, lies and more lies.

Apparently, Buffalo was aggressively pursuing Laine:

Utah and Buffalo were almost certainly aggressively in the mix.
That said, Aaron Portzline has indeed revealed a detail that clearly tipped the balance directly in favor of Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.
Kent Hughes took on the entirety of Laine's contract, and he was the only one willing to do so.
The Canadiens were the only team that accepted the Blue Jackets not retaining any percentage of Patrik Laine's salary in the trade

Not that I think Laine is worth 8.7M but this team can afford a contract of this stature for next year and this year too if they sent away Greenway.

I project about 82M cap for next year, excluding a top 6 wing, a new defensemen and a Bryson.

probably could have had him straight up for bryson or greenway

I am done with the excuses with this team

why ask if you are not going to pull the trigger?

If there's a tire available, Adams will kick it. No conversations left unhad

Yeah, Laine makes 8.1 mill or something close to that.

Adams most likely wanted his cap hit to be about 6 mill give or take.

Like I said before. People crying about how we have 8 mill in space left.

When you look at who needs to be resigned next offseason. All that cap space is gone

I'm not too interested in the pro rated cap math, but by the TDL if they made this trade (Greenway has a limited NTC) they'd have probably 3M in space, with Krebs.

That's not true. See my post above and do the math yourself. I gave jq jj 5 and 5.5, byram 4.5 and Levi 1.5. there's still 12M in space to add a top 6, an entry level forward, a defenseman and a Bryson.

And McLeod 3.6

zucker and greenway equals 8 mil for 2025-26, laines salary

he could make it work, but then he has to work

again I am done with excuses with this team as it appears more often than not we are just taking the easy path

move on from joker and there is most of the money you need for bryam

you will still have roughly 10 mil for quinn and peterka

No, no it isn't.
'26-'27 could be problematic if the Cap doesn't increase to $95m+

it could have worked

esp when you should be adding 2 or 3 entry level guys on the roster in 25-26

That's what I'm saying. Farabee is such an easy addition with his cost and term.

The money is there and as long as the league grows at a normal pace the cap in two years is around 96M

when skinner's cap hit is heavy

the skinner buyout was to give them cap space for this season and next, the 2 years laine has left on his deal
