lol to be fair when it comes to me is that I’ve had around 60 days of hospital time the last 4 years, part of my brain removed, and $1200 a month worth of meds covered for me. Yes the taxation can sting but I’ll continue to happily pay it.

It feels like you Canadian folks get more for your money. Yes, you pay considerably more in taxes compared to a place like Florida, but not THAT much more than some high-tax US localities like New York or California. And those poor saps in those US states don't get healthcare for their money. Those F35 stealth fighter jets are epic though. So, there's that. Iran is about to FAFO why the US doesn't have health care.
Sure, I have heard the criticisms about the system from some of you in here and elsewhere on the web, but I honestly think it's a better healthcare setup than the US has. Dozzer, you'd be bankrupted by now with millions in medical debt down here for those services. I should know, my wife and are carrying almost half a million dollars in debt from "healthcare".
Now, if you're rich or have great insurance (also usually rich), then it's cheaper for services out of pocket, but you still have to wait weeks or months for certain tests or procedures.
On a stormier note, hurricane Debby has dumped 15 inches of rain and counting into my backyard. Luckily, we sit on "high" ground well inland, so flooding is not a concern here. If we get flooded, then it's biblical.
