Cale Makar might be stretch. But he is definitely another great prospect that has a chance to have a very bright future. - landros 2

That is such bullsh!t
All I read from you folks was “his pre draft comparisons were Makar and Hughes”, he had similar pre-draft numbers, how are the flyers gonna pass on someone when their ceiling is a Makar or Hughes! Lol it’s why you all whined so much about passing on him - because someone else told you what to think about him and how he is projected without actually watching a single minute of his play.
Meanwhile, folks are comparing Michkov’s numbers to OV and that’s hyperbole 😆
You can’t have it both ways
lol Joe Schmoe reads “hes comparable to Makar or Hughes” from a teleprompter and you’re guzzling it down and pass it off as “something you know”
Meanwhile someone posts an article and you all jump on them saying “ah you’ll believe anything you read” blah blah blah it’s mind numbing how unaware you are |

We are blessed with the best blogger on this site that alone should be enough to praise. The team has some issues both past and present. But the fans who just want to love our team and root to win every game is a good thing. We’re not Pittsburgh we’re not going to lose intentionally to draft a Crosby. Snider wouldn’t have wanted that and I’m glad that that is one heritage that stuck. Stuck in mediocre times can suck like four more years of Biden but a few hits and this team can be good. They absolutely outplayed expectations last year - GPerogie
It's been a few hits and this team can be good for over a decade. The hits aren't there. Maybe, just maybe the strategy and approach needs to change. There are two schools of thoughts. Hope to get lucky with a few hits or adopt a smart team building strategy. The Flyers aren't a child or family member that you love unconditionally. They have to earn love from the fans in my opinion. Maybe that's part of the problem, the fans.
My sights are set higher than yours. The Flyers outplaying expectation and improving slightly in the long run was not a good thing. It was a bad thing.
The Flyers heritage and culture is dead. Its long been dead. Time to build a new one and their approach is not the right way.

That makes literally no sense at all! Why? Cause Flyers fans aren't Sillies and Sucksers fans that only show up when they are really really good? The fans have nothing to do with how the management operates the team. They know the fans are gonna show up regardless, but that doesn't make them not want to win any less. Your sights are set higher? WTF does that even mean. Everyone wants the same thing and that is for them to win a championship! Yikes!! |

It does not at all surprise me that it is over your head.
Think about your comment of "They know the fans are going to show up regardless"
Apply some actual brain power of what little you have.

Should everyone just do like you and whine about the team on a message board every day?
That’ll show ‘em!
Those fools enjoying their hockey games - they just don’t know how sad they actually are! |

You're feeble minded. You don't even realize that you're proving my point. Your childish comments trying to use Hextall just reinforce your feeble mindedness. - MJL You're like a chatty kathy doll. You just repeat the same utterations over and over again. Anyone that disagrees with you is automatically deemed childish and unaware. Now it's feeble mindedness? The weather was gorgeous today. Did you go out or were you on here all day uttering the same ole crap? I'm proving that your point is wrong. There are many organizations in all sports that have supportive fans win or lose. That doesn't change how they are managed. You want the Flyers to go on a 10 year rebuild which will guarantee nada. I don't agree with your stance and never will. |

More feeble mindedness. The Flyers have been using their tried and true methods for well over a decade now since the last time they were relevant as a team. That was in 2010. It is now 2024. Can you do that math? Maybe they need to change? You somehow in your wisdom think that I want it to take 10 years. Why would I want that?I want the Flyers to win the Cup this upcoming season. What are the chances of that happening? It's not about what I want but more about the reality of what it's going to take. You can't grasp that. Yes, the fan base that accepts and support the mediocrity of this organization, which is being extremely generous, is a problem. If the fan base was more demanding and less supportive of this continued ineptitude, which I readily admit won't happen. Perhaps it could be a conduit to change. However, your little pea brain, can't see how that is an issue. In your absence away from here, you certainly didn't develop any wisdom.

Haha my man! Chatty Kathy....love it! We are all frustrated but yes, complaining about the same things every day is not going to help or change anything. I know Michkov isn't going to be an automatic savior, but I'm looking forward to seeing him play and hopefully see some great hockey games this season.

I'm not on board with that at all. At least as things stand they could compete in 3 to 5 years if things fall right for them. Perhaps this is a pipe dream, but I gotta believe that the Flyers are due some luck! They are your Stanley Cup champions of 2027-28!! With your method it would be 2030 or later before they would have a shot at the Cup.

That's what it's all about. I picked the Flyers to finish dead last in the east last year and they surprised us all. Gotta have hope and enjoy some great hockey again this year. I just can't get behind a team that is so bad that you can't watch them and then you are hoping that they win the lottery in June. Eff that! They should at least be able to put the puck in the net this year with the addition of Michkov, but the defense and goaltending is a bit scary.

You are the man! Here you are every day for hours pontificating on how the team should be run and criticizing those who try to be optimistic. Let's bust out the buzzwords....Torts is archaic, Jonesy is a cheerleader, etc, in case anyone forgets your point of view. Bottom line is people keep going to games so the org will keep trying to be somewhat competitive. I don't like all that they do, but it's a business. Do you think that your daily whining on HB will help matters? Do the 3 stooges read your comments? They definitely should so they can figure out how to get us out of the doldrums.

Personally I don’t like to constantly complain about the Flyers.
I like to constantly complain about those that complain about them instead.

I must be one of those “dumb” fans who don’t hate-watch my favorite team.
The lack of awareness some have here 😆
They hate the team, hate the players, hate the direction, hate management, hate the direction…
Yet they watch every game, follow every article and post, discuss the team every day. With strangers. And they hate every second of it.
So who is the dumb fan again?
The ones watching and enjoying the games? - anti-lame
I’ll do a positive reply for today. Was walking to my boat to go to work and outside of a restaurant Joe Watson and his wife were sitting at a table selling his autobiography. Had a great chat, bought his book, he signed it, and took a pic. Nice people. He actually remembered an alumni game we played against each other. Looking forward to the season. |

Yet, you've been on board with what they've been doing and it's been 14 years and counting since they were relevant. What you can't grasp is that you're going to wait anyway and probably even longer! LOL. Then you conflate two different things. Being a true contender and being competitive are two different things. Apparently you also don't understand that if they do it correctly, they will be competitive along the way as they work towards becoming a contender. You're proving my point here. Let's keep doing it the same way and hope to get lucky. What a plan. You're down with hoping they get lucky! LOL You don't know what my plan is.
