In other news, Konency’s house lit on fire while he’s in Calgary.

I hate the make light of a bad situation but I think that’s a sign he should have been traded and sold the home.

The Flyers spend cap space like a junkie needing a fix.

Yea, like a drunken sailor. And they always bet on the wrong horse.

Hopefully he has insurance. But items not feasible to replace can be gone forever.

Not only are the Flyers bad with money, they’re starting to overall alienate players. If you aren’t a saint, you can’t come into our dressing room or even worse, get kicked out of the dressing room.

So apparently in order for PHI to place RyJo on waivers for Termination, the NHL needs to be on board with the move, so clearly the NHL thinks the Flyers have a valid case.

Of course, I stated earlier today that it is likely the Flyers consulted with the league.

There is a minimum criteria that needs to be met to move a case like this forward. Flyers likely met this criteria. Doesn’t mean a slam dunk or anything like that. Just enough to go to the next step.

Read that he has 60 days to file an appeal. Will he take all 60 days?

This may have been said but if I'm the flyers lawyer I would obtain all videos of RyJos wedding. If this dude was on the floor doing the tootsie roll and dancing all night then there is no way he has a career ending hip injury

I don’t have any evidence but I have a feeling there is more to this than a wedding video.

If Ryjo could play if he wanted to like you say then why not just let the Flyers retain some salary and trade him. I agree he doesnt want anything to do with the Flyers but I doubt he could play if he wanted to
- hfc355

Why do you doubt that he could play? He was available and willing to play in every game up until he was traded last year. What changed?

It amazes me that this keeps coming up. There is a huge difference between dancing at your wedding and playing professional hockey. Dancing would likely just be about enduring the pain, which can be masked by some drinking, which likely occurred. Contrasted with having the strength and endurance to skate at the level needed to play professional hockey over an 82 game season versus one night of dancing. Now imagine the laughter from any independent arbitrator generated when you show the videos of him dancing at his wedding. Not to mention the optics that they terminated his contract and took 4M from him for dancing at his wedding.
