2017 1sts were Patrick at #2 (via draft lottery) and Frost at Washington's #27 (which STL got in the Shattenkirk deal). The other 1st in the deal was 2018 #14 (Farabee)

That rumor doesn't pass the smell test to me. There is no NHL team that is going to guarantee Kolosov a roster spots. It's either a cover story or him and his agent are delusional.

Name me 5 teams that have a 3rd line center that scored 50 points?

Last season, there were only 51 centers that scored 50 or more points. There are 32 teams in the league. Scoring 55 points last year as a center would've ranked 53rd in then league. Putting a player in solid 2nd line center production.

If we are talking about true cup contenders, lets look at the 2nd line centers of the final 4 teams last season:

1. Florida - Sam Bennett 20g, 41pts
2. Edmonton - Leon Draisaitl - 41g, 106pts
3. Dallas - Matt Duchene - 25g, 65pts
4. Rangers - Vincent Trochek - 25g, 77pts

So 55 points could be OK if Frost netted more 20g or more. His career high is 19g so maybe playing with good players this season he can crack that. If he does then I would agree you can contend with Frost as your 2C. Right now the offense is just not enough.

Rewatch that replay. I know I did. That pass is well in front of frost at every angle. He tries to be cute and catch it with the toe of his stick and fumbles

For the Flyers, its as simple as this. They have good players. They don't have elite players. Right now. Michkov is the only player in the system with that potential. They either get elite players or they don't. If they don't, in the big picture, who the 2nd line center is, is not going to matter much.

Like I said before. There's not a single quote of him or his agent saying that, nor has Briere came out directly and said this is what they told us. Nobody has anointed Kolosov so why turn a personal issue into a question of talent?

This is like a rejected guy coming and saying the woman doesn't like men since she rejected him.

It's all rumor and innuendo and to be honest, only one side has a multinational media company that can put their side of a story out to dozens of outlets. Could it be true? Sure, but we all saw the Comcast media blitz Cutter enjoyed which ended with death threats against him and his family.

I would still start Frost in OT every chance I get this season. All that open ice is made fo his game. Biggest mistake I think Torts made last season was being way too defenseive minded in OT.
