That's not always true. You keep looking for Frost to be what he is not. He's not a goal scorer. He is a playmaker and always will be,
- MJL

A player that has 25G and 45A is a playmaker also ... just because you are playmaker does not mean you can't score goals. Bobby Clarke was one of the best play makers in the league in his day, and still scored 25-35 goals a season. Frost has the shot and moves to score more goals, and if he wants to be a legitmate 2nd line center he is going to have to pot about 20-25 goals per season.

He is a 20 goal scorer at best. His best offensive weapon is his playmaking. That is what he is. Clarke was a hall of Fame player. Why do you not understand the simplest of things. He's not going to be a goal scorer. If he scores 20, that's a good total for him.

Really? You think playing an OT game against Colorado, they would be scared or licking their chops to put McKinnon and Makar out there? You oversell everything when it comes to the Flyers.
- MJL

The key to beating players like Makar and McKinnon in OT is to make them defend. Poehling, Laughton and Sanheim will not do that, even if the possessed the puck the entire OT. IMO, you play your best offensive players and you take risks in OT, that is how you win.

so you agree with me because that is what I just posted, if Frost scores 20-25 goals per season he will be a good 2C you can contend with. BUT, he also has to improve his faceoff percentage also so his line has the puck more often.

I'll tell you what, Frost - Michkov - Drysdale in OT would scare a lot of teams out there.
- jd250

What does this mean? Not one of these players have proven anything.

Now if you said Bure, Mogilny and Niedermayer...I just crapped my pants typing that.

Grand slam by Hexy.
- Tomahawk

The Pittsburgh gig made him infamous. I guess he has burnt his bridges. 🌉 Also with the ex-flyer horn dog the flyers.

I'll explain it to you. Those 3 players you named are not going to scare anyone in OT. Can't put it any simpler to you.

It was a great pick and I absolutely love TK as a player, but the whole point of trading him or re-signing him was...

What will his role be in 5+ years? To me it's a 100% stopgap signing.

I’m aware, but to categorize it as a grand slam is preposterous

I guess it's just about wording.

What's Kucherov? What's more than a grand slam?

Frost has not been given the same opportunity that Konecny has. What are you talking about? Your frequent use of "see how that works" is hysterical. Makes you look like an idiot.
- MJL
Everything I say to you makes me look like an idiot according to you cause you have no comebacks. You see how that works?
In what way wasn't Frost given the same opportunity as TK? Was Frost drafted by Hexy by any chance?

LOL How many games was Frost scratched compared to Konecny last season. For starters. See how that works?

So Frost was scratched cause he didn't take advantage of the opportunities given to him and TK wasn't scratched cause he took advantage of the opportunities given to him? Torts just wants Frost to play the right way. What's the harm in that?

Frost does and has been playing the right way. That's what the data shows.

I'll say the same thing to you again. Frost had a solid season in 22/23. Led the team in scoring for a 50 game stretch. Then in the 23/24 season, after two games. Tortorella scratched Frost a significant number of games. That is not reasonable and shows a clear and unprofessional bias towards the player. That is not being given a legit opportunity.

Sorry Sirianni but you changed coaches and personnel and the eye test is fully the same as last year!!!
Can’t stop the run
Can’t cover
Rush 4 drop 7 in soft zone
No pressure
No sacks
Offense looks the same
We’re is Dotson
We’re is Goddard
We’re is Shipley
Designing plays for covey is laughable

Nice try. But the gang here is swallowed up for the Michkov vs Torts power struggle. And who comes out on top.

What of the reports at the presser says Michkov’s English has jumped exponentially.

Great news!
