I think he may be both in distress and in jest.

Matthews hasn’t even gotten a preseason game with the C and it’s already a failure.

I think if you look at Nylander's heat maps, a good majority of his goals come from the net front area.
- vermie22

Oh yeah I know he puts it in from that area routinely… my concern is how the opposition’s D would change the way they play him in front of the net.

They really haven't given us much to work with to be fair. I have no expectations which is probably the best for my personal mental wellness.

I don't watch or follow the NFL, but my cousins do and the amount of guys about to jump off roofs right now seems insane.

When it comes to sports caring is one thing, having the emotional control of physical and emotional actions is a touch different… just a touch tho lol

New coach, new minimum wage players, new accessories, new pucks, don’t matter! Same results. After over 50 years watching this crap, I’ve purchased two new Utah jerseys. Won’t be supporting the Leafs financially until that little female dog is gone. His Presser this AM is exactly why he’s a cancer on the organization. Shanahan as well. Giving AM34 the C was the 1st good move but too little too late. You guys keep pumping there tires for the next 80+ games.
- Bullot

Fun fact: due to the licensing agreement, NHL teams do not receive the lion’s share of revenues from jersey sales. It’s an even split between all teams, after the league skims a little off the top.

So you buying two (wtf?) Utah jerseys did, in fact, support the Leafs financially.

Went to the Bruins blog comments hoping to be entertained with rage and fury.....was very disappointed.

Now if that was to happen in Toronto this place would be super entertaining! Hell it's already way more angry in here about Marner's contract and he has a whole season left on his current one! lol

I did get a chuckle as many of the posts on Swayman are guys saying 8x8 or in that range. They may be right but I know most here hope it's something insane like 8 x 10M or more and he plays like Bob did the first few years of his 10M dollar contract,

My friend, I get what you’re saying. Point being, it’s not easy to mentally support a team for over 55 years, and then stop. I’m at the end of my rope with this. I’m mean, think about, 55 years!! And nothing! I enjoyed the 90’s because Gilmour and Clark fought for it! Bled for it. Now!? They bleed and fight for more money. Who does Marner think he’s fooling!? I love it here, I wanna play here!! Done done and done! Not even gonna argue about it. I have a Gilmour jersey and I hold it in reverence! Wendel……I’ll cut his grass and hold his beer for him. Marner…..I’m done with the team. Just done. Yeah I know Utah is a long way from winning. But it will remind me of when I was a kid, and I knew the Leafs were not going to win…..but they left it all on the ice. Done. Just done.

The trick is just to have a few guys injured to begin the season.

And then make sure others are injured when the first guys come back.

And so on.
