they did make some improvements the past few years. games are played 30 min faster. now if they could eliminate the home plate umpire and go with the AI for strikes it would be perfect.

Doesn't need AI. Just with a couple of cameras and a simple software you can easily know of the ball was in the strike zone.

watch a game Pat. just 5 min. you'll see the technology on tv. not very complicated or controversial. the ball is either in the zone or not.
