Obviously JL never will be lol. Good thing they brought in all those other wingers who do that.

However, JL excels at offense off the rush which RT is trying to have the team improve on.

He's played 6 AHL games with 1 goal and 1 assist and you say he "excels at offense off the rush"

He may need more than one year on the farm.

True. He's still quite young and this wouldn't be the worst thing for him in the long run.

lol honestly dude we saw them (Maiden) last summer in EDM and they were tighter than ever as a band. All notes were hit and even D*ickenson still has most of his vocal ranges. This new tour looks to be even better with a killer setlist(s). Can't wait. Gonna be a damn shame when these epic metal bands close up shop as there is literally no one up and coming to replace them.
- LordHumungous

Haha, I kid, I kid. I'm not much of a metal guy, but I just saw Jeff Lynne's ELO tour, and even at 76 years old, that dude still has a great voice and tours with a killer band. All the great acts will be gone pretty soon.

If he was Canadian he'd still be in Junior, actually if he was Canadian he wouldn't be 172 lbs.

My buddy from work went over. They were having drinks in a bar before the show and some lady upgraded their tickets. They were sitting beside the stage. Said it was amazing. Just because some of these bands are aging doesn't mean they can't still perform.

Not any of the old guys I saw play at Power Trip. But yeah, how dare these old guys use the same tools as modern performers.

It’s his skill set not his experience lol. You want him to excel at hitting?…lol.

Anyway he’s got a lot to learn and bound for Abby. If JL earns a spot as roster fill in while Dak is out it would be short term.

Alriksson is making his case to be chosen to fill in for Dak. Fight and big hit. Now they could keep him for 9 games without burning his 1st year.

Not saying he will make it as he’s a raw player. But hey size matters. So who knows a short stint might be in the cards. So far Blais hasn’t made his presence known. He’s supposed to be the leading candidate to fill in for DAK.

Oddly enough the smaller but fiesty Hogs is having some chemistry with Garland. So maybe he actually is the front runner to fill in for Dak. Plus getting PP time and scoring where they would put Dak up front on PP2 is another sign.

Game impressions.

Silovs clearly had his magic moments.

Garland and Hogs showed early chemistry. Both made good on what RT wants.

Raty was engaged and effective.

Alriksson made his presence felt early.

Kharlsson was okay. Is he fast enough to play NHL level?

Sasson and Aman invisible and didn’t do their lines any favors.

Blais was there just not impressive and that doesn’t bode well for making roster.

Heinan in bottom role had his individual moments as no one to play off.

Boeser competent but no chemistry with linemates.

JL growing pains but noticeable in a good way. Both offensively and that Defensive play. Pulled goalie defending with over a minute left RT deploys him with trusted Suter and Boeser. It was JL taking the puck and setting Suter up for the empty netter.

D-Petey probably will get cut lots to learn. Lucky for him he had Hronek.

Myers had his moments. Wolanin steady. But Forbs needs to step it up. Friedman did his usual thing.

That about covers it.
