Good points but Fedotov wasn't re-signed until after the season on 4/23.
- MJL

The extension was negotiated before Feds came over and executed later. Like I said, Fedotov didn't even use lube with desperate Danny.

I know the Fedotov AAV is higher than expected, but the contract was agreed upon prior to the player coming over from Russia.

I'm told that the contract had to be a certain number to get Fedotov to come to North America.

Yep, way too early to decide anyway. Right now he is a shiny new toy that has only played games and scrimmages against other teams' shiny new toys.

Though I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they did.

It wouldn’t be dumb to give Luchanko a nine game look in the regular season should he earn it. It would be dumb to not send him back at all. Nine games ruins nothing.

Just thought it was funny that you had a mistake in a post pointing out someone else’s mistake; as well as a mistake in the post immediately preceding it. I thought it might bring a little levity and distract from some of the bickering around here to point it out. Yes, it was all I had to offer at that moment. I guess it was a dud? It’s hard to joke around here. People are always looking for a fight.

The irony was only lost on him and his side kick, bumble the boy wonder.

It would be dumb. His team starts in 3 days, let him go and hit the ground running there and put together a solid D+1 season. He is going to gain nothing by playing 9 games at 12 minutes a night and then going back to a junior team that has already started.

It’s along season both in the NHL and the OHL. It doesn’t matter where he’s playing in October. Not to mention he’ll likely play for team Canada in December.

Even more reason to send him back. He’s going to be bounced around. Let him go get steady playing time and actually work on his game. He’s just going to be treading water here. Your stupidity is showing as usual.

The Guelph Storm were what? 33-28-0-7 Last season? You’re worried about a nine game look in October as he plays with and against the best in the world, so he can hit the ground running on a possibly below average team? Where he plays in October doesn’t matter and experience never hurts anything.

I’d rather be an idiot than to have the maturity level of a sexually frustrated teenager. Have some class and while you’re at it, a little self awareness.

Why thank you. I wish you luck on ever getting it but I can tell you don’t do well with rejection. Women can sense this.

We just got told he’s so young, youngest of the draft. To turn around and not send this kid back to junior would be idiotic.

I agree 100%

But this is the Flyers we are talking about.

Imagine he goes 1 goal, 1 assist in his 9 games. Goes back to Guelph and has a slow time adjusting, then doesn’t make the Canadian world junior team. They’d call it the flyers trifecta, briere Keith and torts.

I don’t think it matters. I don’t think Luchanko is really going to “hit the ground running” because he’s been playing a lot of hockey this summer. He’s been practicing and showcasing with team Canada. From there he went to Flyers rookie camp. Now training camp.

So you think because he played NHL hockey for nine games, it will be a tough adjustment going backwards?

You’re very narrow minded and only see it as going to a lower level of play. There is no point in conversing with you.

you sound ridiculous. a 9 game look for Jett, assuming he gets sent back promptly, would not hurt anything. slow time adjusting? to the OHL? are you high?

you folks will literally whine about anything

I look at other team boards and they mostly discuss the performance of players, whether they are playing the right way, or lineups…

Here people argue over semantics of an injury, who got their feelings hurt, players from years ago that mean nothing to the team now.

Is it really the organization or the fan base in shambles?

There is zero reason to give Luchanko a 9 game stint in the regular season. You only do that if you're on the fence about a player making the team. Luchanko just recently turned 18. The best thing for him to do is go back to juniors. Work on getting stronger and more mature physically. Work on getting stronger on his skates for the NHL game and work on his shot. Jerking a kid around can hurt a player and set him back.

They looked like slow dinasours versus Habs speedy Gonzales. Both teams in a self-proclaimed rebuild mode. Habs looks best suited for the modern game.
- THE EVIL WITHIN
It was a preseason game dude and the Flyers had their slow as snails lineup dressed for the game. Just stop!

Ha ha, when I saw all the comments today I thought that the Flyers may have made a trade or something significant happened. Nope! Just the same ole $hit!

wrong. again.

show the kid what there is to work toward. staff said he's had a great camp. outskates a handful of players ahead of him. reward him with a cup of coffee. then send him back.

we are talking about 9 games. holy sh!t are you dense. "jerking him around" haha you're a riot

So true! Who cares if the kid gets a 9 game look at the NHL level. If he earns the look then let him play for 9 REAL games. Folks crack me up!!
