As far as Reichel goes, no need to do anything other than put him in the lineup every night, unless coaches think he's playing so poorly he doesn't deserve it, and let him play hockey and go from there.

"The #Blackhawks have sent Frank Nazar, Kevin Korchinski, and Louis Crevier to the #IceHogs

AJ Spellacy has been sent to Windsor (OHL)"

Hopefully KD learns not to bring players up to the NHL before they’re ready. KK did improve a bit last year but he’s still a ways off from being an NHL player. His weaknesses coming out of junior were his defensive play, his physical size and strength and his tentativeness with physical play. Defense would have been better learned in junior. His lack of strength and weight should have been addressed in junior then the minors. The only advantage of bringing him up last season was to get him used to the physical play. Size and strength will take whatever time his body is ready. He needs work on his defensive play and he has to learn not to panic when he’s being lined up for a hit.

So it looks like the Blackhawks are going to (frank) up their tv revenue stream once again, hahaha

Dumb asses should of just talked to the Stars and set up a similar platform.

I think once they signed Brodie, they had determined that KK was more likely than not be starting the season in the A.

The Hawks gave Nazer every chance to win the job, but they felt he needed more seasoning.

I would rather KK and Nazer have some success in the A and get called up, then start and struggle with the big club, and have to be sent down.

I think at the end of the day right now, the important thing is they are playing minutes.

These guys like Nazar and KK look like they will be fairly good pieces sooner rather than later and we have more coming down the pipe. The fact that they were two of the guys getting the hardest look in camp means they are probably going to be some of the first or close to first in line to get the call up, unless they somehow fall flat in Rockford. I have a feeling that both these two are probably going to be able to be pretty effective at the AHL level. I would not be surprised to see Nazar as a point per game player in the AHL.

I understand you want to be entertained, but if you are going to build a team to win i believe this is the best course of action. Many peoples immediate gratification will have to take a back seat to developing players.

Hate to break it to everyone but i believe this team will still be drafting in the top 5, if it was so easy to win by signing a few free agents everyone would be doing it. This season is a step closer season, KK and Arty at the Rock, the players who were at the rock time to either sink or swim.

I just don't believe there is one path to the NHL, there are many and KKs is just another example of it.

Datsyuk and Zetterberg started out as 3rd and 4th line players as lil guys and turned out ok. Probably a big reason as to why they ended up so good at both sides of the ice. And that was on a good veteran team as opposed to a mediocre one. I think if guys are good enough to be in the NHL they should take their lumps there but I guess we will see.

I think that depends on who gets injured and when. The team certainly has a lot of 06-07 vibes without the benefit of a Keith or Seabrook equivalent on the ice.

It's tough for most of these guys to build muscle in the CHL. They play way too many games and travel way too much. That's why you see more mature players coming out of the NCAA. Yes they're a few years older but they also play fewer games and have the time to hit the weights and recover.

Most of the players coming out of there are very skinny, except for some of the lil guys who know they have to be fire hydrants like Bedard or Debrincat.

Most good NCAA programs have excellent strength and nutrition resources as well.

He just needs to play. Jack Hughes was rubbish his first two years until he wasn't. That's the learning curve.

Some 18 or 19 year old players are ready to play in the NHL, last season Korchinski wasn’t one of those guys. While he did improve over the course of the year he was still one of the weakest defensemen in the league. The fact he was demoted to Rockford this season proves that out.

Korchinski has allot of upside, he’s a good skater, he’s an outstanding passer, he was a strong offensive defender in junior but he’s weak defensively and he’s a bit timid. I just hope KD doesn’t make the same mistake with a young player who isn’t ready to play pro.
