Everything you said...

Michkov just seems to make simple plays into something.

Elite passing skill. Not just the vision but to put that puck right on through sticks. Threaded a needle

Kid got terrific vision and sweet hands

He won that puck on the boards with one hand and made a pass I wouldn’t think to even make and nails it

I'm curious to see if Michkov becomes a regular season thief...what I have seen so far, he seems to be sneaky taking those pucks from players and winning the battle

“Why aren’t we giving Attard and Ginning a look!?”

lol they’ve played some poor preseason hockey - just because folks on the board haven’t been watching them, the staff have been watching them in LHV. Maybe they’re not that good…

2 grade A chances for Michkov...in the regular season he should be burying these, but seeing the chances already is a good sign.

Could've easily had two goals tonight. A little sharper later on and he probably pots them. He's going to be a star.

I still want that young cornerstone center the Flyers need, but I know it's not going to happen so....

It should be exciting seeing 2 very capable lines going on the ice throughout the season. Then a 3rd line with all the opportunity in the world to take advantage. Then I expect better things from York and Drysdale. Let's see how Ersson holds up.

I'm getting ahead of myself, but I think star looks to be his floor.

I am so happy I was so wrong about how soon he will get to the NHL....so happy.

Dont go to where the puck is, go to where the puck is going to be. All the greats do this instinctively.

It's preseason...

I don't care, love to see how excited Michkov is. Team could use all the passion it can get.

The kids legit….not sure how long it will take him or what the ceiling is but anyone watching him play can see more then just the skill….he reminds me of Crosby…cough, cough….with how he protects the puck and is so strong on it….if he can be half as successful then I would think the Flyers got a great cornerstone.

Going to be interesting who will be the 3rd fwd with Frost and Michkov. I don't think Tippett is a good fit on the line I would like to see Farabee on that line to see what happens. I do think Brink and Tippett would work well together.

Michkov does a lot of creating in the zone working out of the corners. Tippett does most of his damage on the rush, be interesting how it progresses but I liked frost with him

Why don't you think Tippett is a good fit on the line? A 30 goal scorer playing with a player with elite passing skill in Michkov and a good playmaker in Frost. I had questions about Frost and Michkov playing together but they looked good tonight.

I see more of a baby Jagr the way he hunches over and uses that asset to protect.

I don't have these expectations, but just saying....

Flyers rookie record: 83 points (Beats Renberg)
Flyers rookie point per game: 101 points (Beats Lindros 75 points in 61 games)

A few thoughts.

1) Sam Ersson looks to be picking up where he left off last season. As long as the defense holds up, I think he’ll do pretty well this season.

2) I enjoyed my second look at Frost, Tippett and Michkov as a line. Michkov much more involved. I love Michkov’s ability to go into the corners and not shy away from bigger players. Smooth passing.

3) If we’re judging by this game alone, Luchanko definitely needs work.

4) I don’t like the idea of Zamula making the team by default. Last season it felt like he made the team because he wasn’t waiver exempt. This season he makes the team so Michkov can have a friend and he’ll communicate with the team. I personally would like to see Emil Andrae as an every night player. His two way game looks ready for the big club.

Frost being in a contract year should be learning Russian. Leave no stone unturned

I think Torts showed what he expects from him last year, I don’t think he gets benched again unless he starts playing like complete dogpoop.

Brink on the other hand I think has a lot work to prove to stay in the lineup. Good so far in preseason, but time will tell.

I think he’ll get his points. Jagr was another one that protected the puck …he used his size more…what’s impressive about Michkov is he’s not big…but apparently very strong… I’m looking forward to seeing a full year of this kid (hopefully I didn’t jinx him…lol)
