Seeing how skilled Michkov is makes me even angrier about the TK contract. They can’t get out of their own way. He is the type of talent you build around not use to supplement a wretched core of players. Time to watch this kid piss away his talent here

Way too early to be bringing up Brindy. Until Clarke got frustrated with BrindAmour for getting injured and traded him, he scored 593 points in 621 games for the Flyers.

I had my concerns when he was drafted especially after reading the story about his father. I am thrilled to be wrong once again!

His passing and offensive awareness of where most players on the ice are is elite level. It was awesome to see Coots stick up for him and it was great to NOT see him back off after the Bruins tried to intimidate him. Scoring game winning goals is the best response for him.

It also seems like he is well liked by his teammates.

TK has nothing to do with Michkov. TK can play LW or get moved to the 2nd line later when Michkopv passes him. Konecny could be a Point per game player, 68 points in 76 games all with a league worst PP.

All the signing does is prove that Briere\Jones think the Flyers are closer than fans believe. The current Flyers team is def better than people think. I believe the Flyers will surprise people again.

Which will force them to waive and possibly lose Lycksell and Brink. I'd rather see whatthose to have than watch the vanilla ice cream of those others

None of these players matter really.

Seeler was dumb because you potentially have guys ready to make the jump. I dont mind the extension so much as the NTC for 2 seasons. I would be fine if he had no trade protection and could be moved if someone earned a job

Poehling is irrelevant. 2 year deal, 25 year old 4th line C. If he doesnt fit with the future he can be moved but I feel like he is part of the future and Im fine with that as hes is young.

Laughton hasnt been extended yet. I dont really see an extension in his future unless he takes a 4th line role in the future. The 3rd line C will be Luchenko's within the next year or so. If Laughton stayes, Cates, Poehling or Hathaway will be on their way out. Cates could already be on his way out if Lyksell makes the team.

There is no scenario where the Flyers waive Brink.

I believe Ginning will be heading back to Sweden at the end of his contract. Andrae has the opportunity to be an NHL regular by the end of the year. Will he? ,Not sure. With a York extension some time this season, have to get Risto moved within the next calendar year. York - Sanheim- Risto potentially taking up over 16 million in cap space- not good.

Read between the lines a little bit. When Laughton gets a nice 5 year extension these types of things matter. I wanted TK traded at the deadline this past season, you could have gotten some valuable pieces for him that fit a better timeline with a guy like Michkov. One signing doesn’t kill you is my point, don’t love the TK deal but he’s a good player at a fair price. Wish he was traded but he wasn’t.

Realistically though you want a guy like Seeler to have No trade protection so that he can be moved if needed. We got guys who should be pushing for a spot. Attard was one but he blew his shot, Ginning seems to have blown his as well. Flyers were higher on Ginning than Attard but both did play well in a small sample size last season. Both are capable of being bottom pair D. Andrae is the guy with the most potential. Ideally you want to be able to have him up with the team. It wont hurt to have him in the minors for 1 more year but someone has to be moved by next season and that will be a tall order.

York wont be moved.
Drysdale wont be moved
Sanhiem has a NTC
Seeler has NTC for 2 seasons
Ristolainen will be hard to move without taking cap back or retaining
Zamula has kind of cemented himself as an important piece to the team due to being here fopr Michkov.

Ideally you would move Risto but only time will tell if that happens. If he has a solid season and stays healthy im sure teams will bite but if he struggles and has a bad season, we are stuck with him.
