Besides, he is already qualified correct?

If the rumors are true about an agreement, it could be around development. Maybe kolosov thinks he would get better developmwnt playing back home.

Agreed but both parties comfirm an agreement was reached. DB saying you signed an ELC so suck it up is not an agreement.

A ELC is an agreement and that is binding. Any verbal agreement, is not.

Why do they need to give him a few games to show him he is the future? Why does he deserve that special treatment? If he needs to improve then why keep him in the NHL for any games?

A simple gesture to prove that they appreciate him. What does it hurt? Cates, ND, or Someone else sits. Take him on the opening road trip. Play him in Philly for a game or two. Let him experience the Philly crowd. It won't change where this teams ends up in the standings.

- – Kolosov has an agreement that if he does not qualify for the NHL by the end of next month, he will return to Dinamo Minsk before the end of this season. Therefore, the Belarusians are waiting for him without signing a contract with the new goalkeeper. Although they have options with Adam Huska (ex-Torpedo) and Ed Pasquale (ex-Barys). Alexei is ready to go to the AHL for a few games. But Dynamo are waiting for Kolosov, whose issue should be resolved by October 27-28," the source told us.

No matter the validity of this rumor is...

If it was true, even the slightest, then why fly over at all. Waste of time for everyone.

Update:

Unless those few games he plays in the AHL are for scouts from other teams to view him. Otherwise blaaaaaah.

Is this similar to participation trophies? Maybe throw him a party. Send him a hall mark card. This is pro hockey. When did this tradition of making a gesture to prove that a player is appreciated start? Is he the only player that gets that gesture? Didn't they show that they appreciate him when they drafted him and signed him to an ELC?
I think that is all absurd. A player either makes the team on merit or he doesn't. A 9 game look is for when a team is having trouble deciding and decided to give him more time in the regular season to make sure he's ready. All of these other reasons are just nonsense.
