I get the purpose of an HOA is to avoid having people actually ruin things for everyone else but they seem to get so (frank)ing picky about everything it sounds annoying.

agreed. it doesn't really bother me because i don't really do any of the things they complain about and i don't really mind just following the trash schedule but i know there are people who get upset because they want some decoration in their little front yard or on their patio or balcony and then it turns out to be against the rules or whatever.

i kind of agree with the trash rules anyway. people would probably be leaving their recycling buckets out there for 2 days before and 2 days after trash day. there's always someone, you know? and the buckets would look trashy on people's front porches.
