Nah .. Andrae has looked good against NHL caliber players also. But right now the top 7 are set, which really irks me.

You know what he was trying to do and thanks for this response. You know, there’s a lot to be said about the “personalities” on this site. That's certainly something to debate but his value defensively is still so immense that he's 100% more than just a "tweener".

I'd gladly take Cates over Laughts or Poehls any day.

But at least Cates actually brings that defense.

Laughts is terrible defensively and Poehls isn't much better.

He has some work to do, let's put it that way. Kolosov let up a goal almost right away but it was recalled because of an off sides earlier. The next goal he gave up was a stright shot from the point through traffic but no deflections, went right under his left arm; I did not like that goal. I thought he could have had a few of them. The last goal against was with 10 secs left and he had no chance. IMO from what I saw last night, Kolosov belongs in the AHL right now. He looks small in net and that is going to hurt him in this league.

You have to wonder how motivated he is to play well. He isnt making the Flyers and he doesnt want to play for Phantoms. Have read there is some agreement that after a short time period if he is not on Flyers roster they will release him to play in KHL

I agree but Tortorella is a big reason why his offense has dried up. Tortorella put the team needs ahead of player development needs.

You need to look in the mirror. There are plenty of us who have condemned his racist behavior and stood behind you. Including me and you then turned around and attacked those in other matters.
