Just went across the road to the food court under the CBC building to get lunch and saw this again in the building. I'm sure 99% of you knew what it was before looking at the pic of the plaque. I sent the pic to a couple of my 'merician friends and they had no idea what it was (there are in NJ & Detroit areas).

I chirped them saying "If I know who the Fak Commander Tom is how can you not know this? They hadn't even heard of the show.

Agree, dont see a problem with it. If its a cap hit you can get rid of if you need to, then its a no brainer.

He takes a spot on the 50 man list, but it may be at the expense of a very fringe player..so...a lot of Meh for me. possible reward with no risk

It's tough. His camp produced decent offensive numbers with 5 points in 3 games, 4 of them being at even strength. In preseason you're often playing against AHL players or lower and even at 35 (he'll be 36 next month), Pacioretty should be better than half of those guys. I didn't like his pace nor did I like some of his decisions during the small set of preseason games.

I remain concerned that the guy who scored 4 goals in 47 games last year is the guy we signed. I am less concerned because it's only $900k and he can be pressboxed or sent to the Marlies.
