Canucks learning lessons on what it takes to play as a top team. At least they gained a point.

Taking the 1st out where they dominated they stopped playing. Playing tired in shifts because not making simple plays and losing defensive zone faceoffs and players like Sprong not tracking their assignment. Plus Silovs couldn’t make a save on long shots giving the Flames life.

How dominant were your number one ranked Oilers? Who was the leading scorer?

Lankinen will be in on Friday which was the plan. Let’s see how he can calm the team. Silovs just too amped and not squared up to shooter. Lessons for him to work on.

I was wondering why RT didn’t pull him or call a time out in the 3rd. But it’s not his style to do that often. He might have wanted the team to learn to work it out being October and all.

Team doesnt look ready at all. They look like they can get it together as they showed in the 1st but it fell off pretty quick. They need time to play together.

Give it a week or 2 and then we will see what we can expect, tough to draw conclusions from whatever the hell we witnessed tonight

Miller did some impressive things that really get the fans on their feet but holy poop, what a fkn disaster with the puck. So many give aways and bad passes. I think whatever tweak he had in camp may be effecting his foot speed as well. Really wide stride on the rush and definitely a step or two slower than last season. Here's hoping that part of his game just needs a bit of play time and practice.

Typical Flames strategy. Canucks spent the 1st period stomping on the flames. The next period they were distracted because they were trying to scrape the sh!t off their heels that was in the flaming bag.

I suspect a long video session is in order after that Jets game.

Canuck tending will be an issue for the first part of the season. Lanks is Ok and may even take over being the starter from Silovs, but still....
