Or send in Pacioretty. You'll see him suddently skate twice as fast.

Goals bonuses?

I'm not sure he'll last in our lineup all year but he's been pretty "ok" in his limited role. Kinda has that Spezza-vibe. A shadow of his former self but you can tell he has great hockey smarts.

Not sure if it was Devils legs or the Leafs checking but the Leafs were able to basically plug up play for the final period. Looked good playing with a lead ...my heart rate didn't jump as much as it would normally.

Just got home, watched the first 2 goals before sporting... now I'm tired and sore and just watched the Game in 10.

Bottom 6 is delivering. Beast Mode looked alright? Nice seeing Keefe pissed off at another team for once.

There's so much to work with here, it's too easy.

Nice to see them win when the big 3 don't score

I am concerned with Marner's 5v5 and PP play right now. His PK play has been excellent - and he's been very engaged and look at the way he's handling 1v1 battles - all very nice. But at 5v5 and PP, he seems off.

Is it just me or does everyone call him Hildebeast? I actually think it's weird when they call him Hildeby on the cast.

Your hope that Hildeby gets the start is extremely hopeful

I get your logic but it’s looking like Berube sees it differently.

Guess he did play after all.

New coaches, new systems. Of the core four, only Tavares has 1 goal and 1 point through 2 games. I found the Leafs played better with AHLers over the pre-season because Berube's style suits those type of muckers desperate for a spot on the team. The same is true now through 2 games. The star players are being expected to play differently which will change their point totals. Everybody predicted the Leafs would score like they usually do but perhaps they all take a statistical hit for the sake of better team play.

I agree man. Looks to be forcing plays and just ‘off’ like he did since coming back from injury last season.
I’m sure he’ll figure it out. He’s a very gifted offensive player - but agree that he looks to be forcing/panicking at times 5v5 with the puck.

Crazy how adding McMann instead of Reaves makes them so much useful huh?
- Scabeh

4th line played good vs Habs too. They were close to a couple. All three Kampf, Reaves, Lorentz - all had or generated some good looks.

Either way - both combos look real good this season for Toronto which is key.

Do you sit on reaves again sat or do you rotate another guy out?

They’ve all played well though

I assume Reaves is 13/14 fwd all year and just gets his 7-8 minutes when we're playing an opponent like Montreal or Florida or NyR or maybe if Berube just feels like watching a scrap.

Dewar and Jarnkrok still on the horizon as well.

Even if Lilly gets moved ...they'll need to move/dump atleast one forward if/when they're all healthy.

The Tanev ...we need to assimilate the other d'men and make them part of The Tanev.

OEL better than expected so far ...him and McCabe looking pretty good.

Benoit as expected and Timmins kinda shakey. Hakanpaa probably slide in there if he's ever healthy.

Not til the 31st (game 11) and also Dewar may have lost his job if Lorentz keeps playing like this. I mean I like Dewar but he only got 19P in 74 games last year, his spot was always up for grabs, wouldn’t be shocked if he gets put on waivers. The question for me is who do you pull out of the lineup to slide Jarnkrok in? The bottom six is looking good, if they continue to do so the injured guys might have lost jobs.
