I've been willing to forgive the trip if they came home and showed up

5 of the last 6 periods they came to win. Let's see that continue and the trip won't matter

Couple winnable games up next @ Pitt and @ Columbus

Maybe I'm just boring. I didn't go crazy after the first 3. I wouldn't make any big changes now. Last thing I'd consider is touching is the 3rd line, and I see some changing 2/3 of it. I don't think Krebs or Kulich have displaced anyone in the top 9, but it's nice to see them being noticeable on the ice. I get the urge. It's more fun to get over-excited about the kids than appreciating the vets.

What is easier today is giving JJ or Benson additional time to get healthy.

I'm going UPL-Levi-UPL this week. Think that's an easy one, unless Levi throws a shutout.

They gave him #1 money and he's earned the #1 job to start the season. I'm not a big UPL believer, but those are just facts.

when someone says one is outplaying the other by a wide margin, you expect the GAA to be different by a big margin

I still say he got snubbed for an autograph

Outside last game, Quinn has been awful, so can't complain. The hot hand should get the higher amount of minutes. That being said, I thought getting the "Kid" line back together might jumpstart Cozens/Quinn.

Someone needs to stick at C though. Folks talking about Tage as if he's better on the wing as well. IF both aren't true centermen, IMO, we fooooooked.

- QuinnFan

Tage is definitely a centerman in my eyes. But he needs to be more or a Matthews center than a Joe Thornton center.

I thought cozens could be a center like O’Reilly. Not great at anything but 60pts and tough to play against.

I just dont see him being able to drive a line. Even when the kids were great together they were all rush.

Think we need Ostlund or Helenius to turn out to be our backstrome

Thanks, but I am kind of boring atm. Playing decent hockey, time to let things play out a bit. No reason for big changes. An easy week, on paper, then a big test at home vs Dallas.

Totally agree. But if tooth is on his daily rant that UPL sucks i just dont see how a good argument combating that is GAA.

Not a fan of UPL but actually think both goalies have played well. UPL with a few bad bounces

did you think 6k should have had a shutout vs the kings?

both goalies played meh in the first games

both goalies played decent in their second game

someone wants to say there is a wide gap between the 2,, that is flat out wrong

neither goalie deserved a win in their first start

both goalies played good enough to get a win in their second start

Save % Above Expected:

Levi .006
UPL -.014

It's pretty darn close there. A bit more disparity in goals saved above expected, but it's not a lot. Florida didn't have a ton of quality chances against Levi in that game. The difference is essentially due to the fact that Levi had more shots, despite a lot of them being low percentage chances, those add up both in expected and sv%.

I'll be the first to say, and have always said, Levi will be the better goalie...but they're pretty interchangeable right now and UPL has played fine. In no way, shape or form has he been the one to blame on a single goal this season.

Cozo has never been the defensive guru O'Reilly is but understand the hope. But I think we're dreaming if we think Noah or Konsta are line 1 material, like Backstrom. He was an elite playmaker for many years. Both of them look like middle6 hopefuls. What do you see though? Think one of those two can boom?

I would wonder if anyone thought any game's outcome would have been changed by them being swapped. If not, we're arguing about nonsense.

Also helps Levi that he had a shot that was going in go off the top shaft of his stick?

Luck plays a factor and it sided with Devon on that Reinhart shot. That being said, Marty was full of crap on the broadcast talking about how you can use the shaft to make a save. That is NEVER the intention and you really got beat blocker side, just got lucky.

Krebs confirmed he accidentally got his stick up on Dahlin in front of the net which led to Dahlin's reaction. He said they both practice hard and they are still friends.

If Cozens continues to struggle, do you give Krebs a shot to center Bensonsons and Cozens?

Kulich played well with cozens and Quinn

I think benson drops to the 3rd line.

JJ. Tage. Tuch
Kulich cozens Quinn
Benson McLeod zucker
Then rotating Geenway. Laff beck and NAL when he gets back

Sad part but also good part is. I will miss having Krebs in the lineup

- Sabretooth9

Benson has been their best possession guy so far 5v5.

Kulich has dragged down every line he's been on. Playing well but should not be in the top 6 over anyone they currently have there.

No way they change up the 3rd line right now.

Cozens just reminded me of a good center that can lead a line and chip in 60 points. With him not elite at anyone skill thought he could work on his defensive acumen and contribute that way.

With the others i just see hope. We got to hit on one center after drafting so many in last 4 years.

I think Tage is a good center. Just give him a pest/puck retriever on one side and someone that can finish a rebound on the other size and hes back to a 90 point center. But for please god JUST SHOOT THE DAMN PUCK.

Interesting you say that about Kulich, when he was one of our better Forwards.
