As much as we've turned it into a Pat joke, (easy target for drug jokes, despite the 8-bit size, he has an 8-ball problem...) an opioid dependency and possibly (unconfirmed) abuse can be a direct reason for his poor play in previous seasons. I'd rather lose him to the NHLPA Player Assistance Program and get healthy, and not just because it opens up cap space. I don't want him to be a player who dies too young. Yeah, I'm reaching a bit, but it's a real problem. |

This is interesting. The two strongest teams in Canada are Edmonton and Toronto with Vancouver looking good as well. Yet the Habs build seems moving towards a better rounded product.
On D.
Mailloux is too good for the AHL and there are three defencemen waiting in the wings.
The Habs D willbe the best in Canada in two years, possibly the best balanced in the NHL.
On Nets.
Monty has looked great so far. Very focused. But Fowler is on the way and the keeper in Laval may be a better backup soon.
The Habs may within three years have the best goaltending in Canada.
On Forwards.
Laine is hurt. Demitrov is a year out. And the kid in Michigan is looking like a strong choice. Even the other Slovak kid in Laval is starting the year right. CC is looking ready this year, he could even outscore Matthews this year? Slaf is young and progressing as a power forward. No 77 is looking strong. And so much balance across 4 lines is building.
Looking to the other teams, none are building a balance like MTL. All are wrapped around two or three superstars.
MTL will be winning games with superior second, third and fourth lines while the first line will simply hold its own.
Bright future ahead. |

it's weird though that a bunch of words aren't aligned in the text, maybe there's something going on with the formatting when the blog gets posted? - Pat1993
I don't really know since I basically send a word document so I don't know what happens between that and the blog format.
Should be easier to figure out once I post things on my own.

It can be if he's dependent on them....takes a hit, needs a perc to keep going
. I've got fibromyalgia and arthritis on my lower back... I've gone from 160 T4's (chronic pain) and 100 Percocet's (breakout pain) a month, to taking some naproxen (which I shouldn't be taking given my history of GI bleeds and my gastric bypass), and right now it sucks, but I have luckily had no DT's (likely due to my guts not processing the meds fully, an issue for me...), and am seeing a pain management clinic, in hopes of cortisone shots, or if narcotics are necessary, via patches doled out on a schedule with my pharmacist. And if you think pain meds like fentanyl aren't available by less legal means to people in Josh's situation, you're nuts. I mean, (frank), it's available on the streets to tweakers, and they often end up dead. There's a real opioid crisis right now, and love him or hate him, I's rather he'd be healthy off them. |

We all wish nobody (inluding josh anderson) has an opiod addiction, and even though it can be easy to get, it's a bit precipitated to discuss fentanyl addiction for him because he took one pill on the bench no? Could have been naproxen.
Arent opiods restricted for nhl athletes?
Hope you find a long term solution for yourself. I know chronic pain can be very though to handle. |

Could will be, and I hope so, but there have been too many horror stories, and some hopeful ones, like Carey getting off them. I mean, poop, this is what I take twice daily for my pain and depression/anxiety. Add two more in the morning.
Meds are becoming too much of a proxy for proper treatment in a lot of places. Especially if you don't have money for things like massage or chiropractic treatment.
Edit: Looking at the pi, i realised I missed one, lol. |
