So in 2 days we've gone from "this season is a bust" level of disappointment to "look, we are right there in the playoff picture" level of excitement.

Nah, I think we're just happy with the wins and enjoy them when they come.

They relaxed a bit much at the end there.
Somehow Suzuki leading in points and Matheson 3rd, sure does't feel that way.

Can Evans keep up with Dach?

with all due respect to Evans, I hope not lol... normally Dach should be able to produce more offensively as he slowly comes back to his regular form.

When Slaf gets back, you keep Dach on the 1st?

I think the objective is still to have Dach center the 2nd line, so probably not. they might have Slaf on the 2nd line for a few games once he comes back but I don't see that going on for very long.

Also Evans is 28, Dach is 23. Evans is entering le later half of his prime while Dach is entering it and missed multiple seasons with big injuries. I think right now carrying the second line while finding his rhythm back was too much to ask.

We don't talk alot about it but Newhook didn't help Dach at all.

I just don't think Newhook and Dach are a good match. Newhook is a fast North South guy and Dach is more of a position guy. They just don't seem to be on the same page.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dach plays on Evans' wing if this keeps up. But it probably won't.

I think they technically should be a good match, but for whatever reason Newhook hasn't been able to utilize his speed as much compared to last season.

With the talent coming in and depending what we do with Laine I think Newhook will be the third line C down the stretch and that's fine.

That's one guy that could be more than a 3rd liner imho.

Yeah of course that's my line-up in next year. Eventually if he's good and we don't resign Laine he could move up
