Hall has been their best forward tonight, not just because he scored, also doing the little things as well. Twice he made sure he got to center ice before dumping the puck in, knowing he was going to get hit. - Angotti
Hall has been their 2nd most dangerous forward all yr, tonight is no different.... You on board to see Bert dropped to L4 for a couple games? I'm all for getting him out of the top 6 but don't wanna see L4 weakened. They've been the Hawks 2nd best line this yr.
Press box him?

Maybe. It’s just challenging for this team to score, need another finisher. Not sure where they can find a finisher for this year, besides Bedard that is. |

Has to be Jones' worst game of the year. Serving up pizzas and icing a lot. The Hawks need him to play well. He's played decently so far up to this game. |

Defense looks like the Hawks still have Megna, Tinordi, and Zaitsev suited up. - LAHawk
Not that bad. They have two young guys which is fine and going to cause problems. Brodie hasn't been very good.
The Canucks have a very good team. The Blackhawks have a bad team. The score is indicative of the level of talent. |

So how many years into a rebuild until you are supposed to see any incremental improvement in the team? |

Well, Hall seems to be a pretty good one. For all the hype about Bedard's shot, he's got one goal this year. I think they simply need to get back to playing as a team. They're all individuals right now which shows in this Swiss cheese defense. |

Maybe, but I don't know how I can get thru a game without the midget mentioning 32 times he played 50 NHL games, or that he's only 5ft 3in, or that 14 times a game he mentions the play happened right in front of ME, or when a goalie makes a save without anyone within 30 ft of him and on the replay he says he got the pad on it-----right-----THERE.
IMO the midget is the worst color man in the sport but will concede Kailey is a complete homer but IMO she has a much much better hockey mind than the goof who ran Vosters outa the sport. - Mr Ricochet
She needs a better pop filter or to work a bit on per plosives. Otherwise fine. Not a huge Pang fan.
Ball has been fantastic to listen to though. Not as good as prime foley but def better than disinterested foley.

Played against a team that didn't suck. When there is equal or better raw talent and more of it he's gonna have a bad time.
To be somewhat fair, the Hawks forward group was significantly overmatched and this is gonna happen more times then it won't against good teams. |

They’re playing better. Lot more shots. If only they could execute. Much better possession too. Still far away though. |

I’d sit Mikheyev next game. He adds next to nothing in these past few games. Or Maroon. Smith and Donato contribute to the scoresheet and play hard. |

Depends on how you define incremental improvement. In terms of crap like xGF and xGA they haven't done too bad. Corsi they're towards to bottom but not at THE bottom.
Scoring chances for they're in the middle of the pack. Scoring chances against they're towards the bottom but not at the bottom. High danger chances they're towards the bottom at evens. PDO is kinda low but I think that is more a reflection of the talent level rather than puck luck.
Certainly more watchable than last years debacle. They just don't have the talent to overcome average goaltending and create quality chances. I think they need to stick Hall with Bedard and TT. If you're a one line team I think you gotta stack the line. Bertuzzi would be fine as well.
Not sure how this is better than losing with kids but here we are. Onward to a top 5 pick. |

Great he was able to dump the puck from center ice, and he was just the right player at the right time when AA and Murphy did all the hard work for Hall to get a gratuitous bounce because he wasn't along the boards to help.
Watching him all night is painful he can't complete a pass and forgets the puck from time to time when he tries to make a move with it. Had another terrible turnover in his own end again. |

On a positive note, I’ve liked watching Kaiser and Allen. Kaiser has played like a top 4 Dman in this small sample size. He’s mobile and makes intelligent moves so far.
Back to LA’s point, let’s see how they start on Friday. Will this team learn from 2 slow starts? Nashville will be playing hard after their poor start. |

Yeah agree with above posters on loading up the first line.
If Anderson is still out I’d play these lines.
Teuvo Bedard Hall
Kurashev Reichel Bert
Richardson Foligno Donato
Maroon AA Smith |

Well, if you focus on a specific player you will see some mistakes, especially on this Hawks team. Out of all the forwards, only Bedard and TT have outplayed Hall this year. Another guy that has been noticeable is Donato. |

Got a very short look at Moose Jaw 2025 prospect forward Lynden Lakovic (Lah-ko-vich) tonight (3rd period only). Wiz has him at #19 right now. Lakovic is 6-4, 183 and plays LW on a line with Brayden Yager. Has 6-10-16 pts in 12 games so far.
Lakovic has a lot of speed and very good stick handling. He was able to carry up from the dzone a couple of times and get a shot on goal. Beat the dman around the edge on one rush. Rangy and pretty decent at getting loose pucks. Vision seems good and he had an assist while I watched and some good passes. Played a lot in the third as the team was behind and was trying to score. Will go to the front of the net in the offensive zone.
Did not see much in the way of defense or physical play from him in the period, but they were playing catch-up and so trying to break out and stay in the o-zone. Interesting prospect but will need to see more.
Lower ranked 2025 prospects Connor Schmidt of Moose Jaw and Braeden Cootes of Seattle seem to have had good games also. |

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but anyone else think Vlasic is kinda meh right now? - Chunk
Sophomore slump? In fairness to him, coverage was pathetic from everyone. |

I don't think AA did anything really, he banked a puck up ice and Hall tipped it in. AA went to forecheck and didn't accomplish anything and never touched the puck, Hall came in and put the Vancouver player under pressure and he made a bad pass to turn it over. |

The one noticeable difference is they are getting a few more shot attempts and shots on goal. Statistically they were second worst in the NHL in those metrics last year, now kind of middle of the road right now in getting some pucks on net. Better to be at least in the pack than nearly dead last.
Maroon and AA have been pretty much useless and thankfully both are only here for this season. Hopefully Kurashev can stay out of the dog house and Reichel can hopefully keep his play going the way he has been the first 3 games here. |

Up until the last couple games the Hawks were doing a better job defending the area in front of the net, but I feel like tonight and the previous game they had too many breakdowns of coverage and didn't protect the house well. |
