They just don't push the needle for me in any way. Hope let go more of the past that hasn't worked and go fresh giving newer dudes a shot. If the Leafs could get rid of 2 of 3 of Lilly, Kampf, Jamrock that's near 5 million cap space which they desperately need for future flexibility and current ltir dudes. Lose all 3 and that could set up a sweet deadline move.

I heard that Jarnkrok might be a while. I think Dewar and Hakenpaa might be sooner. I don’t see a reason to do anything until guys are ready. Use the time until to make decisions on who goes.

Timmins has been really good and that pretty well seals the deal on Lilli. Holmberg hasn’t played well until yesterday so he’s a possible stay. Kampf is useful but expensive. Are there guys that Berube trusts to fill his role?

We just want to win for little Timmy who has lost his home and all his belongings. A Lightning win will make everything ok but we just play like poop and it’s very sad.

Parros should be sacked. Biased incompetent 💩. Those refs should be the ones fined for their botches on OEL's clean hit and the called off goal that was a good one.

Hopefully boys have enough left in the tank to just carry over their game from last night.

For forwards, Jarnkrok, Dewar, Holmberg are all kinda samsies. Utility guys, who can line up all 3 forward positions, and can play up and down the lineup and not look terrible.

Of those, I think I'd pass on Jarnkrok as he's the oldest of the bunch at 33. He's not getting any better. I'd probably pick Holmberg if I had to only keep one, because I think he's a better fit long-term, is home-grown, and has less of a cap hit.

I'm less worried about depth forwards with injuries as we have Patches and Reaves who aren't going anywhere.

With Hockey Paw, I mean, he hasn't even played a game and already there is "controversy" with his knee. I'd love it if he worked out, but I feel like we need to keep Lilly as a more durable depth option on D, because he has played top 4 and did alright fancy stats wise before.

I weirdly super stoked to see Hakanpaa healthy and under Baerubae's tutelage added to this D group.

Could be the top 6 group we've always NEEDED.

Rielly, Tanev
OEL/Benoit, McCabe
Benoit/OEL, Hakanpaa

Edit: one soft serve in the whole group. (frank) ya!!!

I think lilly will depend on hakka health, different types of players sure, but it seems theyll both be depth.

I dont think you can plug Jarnkrok in with dewar and holmberg (imo), as he can play the 2nd line. The other two cannot.
But im just not sure Jarnkrok has a spot here anymore,.
We'll see

How does that explain why you guys keep whining about the refs despite being one of the least penalized teams though?

*runs*

Well, duh!

Because the Leafs should be getting even LESS penalties, obviously

The interference call was ridiculous.

The fine is even more stupid. This DOPS and Leafs thing is getting old.

If Hakanpaa can play, I am hoping, I think the Leafs have to have a scenario in mind that have them moving out a combo of Lily and/or Kampf and/or Robertson or whomever for a 3C/2LW type. Just a hunch.

To be honest I am a little nervous about Woll coming back. Ride the hot goalie imo.

Jarnkrok is the perhaps the most versatile player they have. They will find a spot

a package of Lolgrin and Robertson could get an ok return from a rebuilding team. Calgary perhaps

Holmberg's played up the lineup with some limited success.

Jarnkrok's been ok too, but he's old and costs more.

I mean, he's fine, but he has limited upside. Do you sit Robertson again for him?

Why would a rebuilding team want to give up picks and prospects?
Also, the leafs will need cap space, not sure they will want too much cap coming back.

But we'll see, anything is possible

They seem to prefer to employ meatheads in that department. I think it’s time for some former skilled players.

Jarnie's been pretty darn consistent, better than Holmberg higher up in the line up.
But i agree, he is more expensive, has most likely hit his ceiling and could be moved for cap space.

Time will tell.
